The Trading Lifestyle Podcast: Trading Heroes Forex Trading Blog | Pro Trader Interviews

Welcome to this episode of The Trading Lifestyle Podcast. In this episode, I sat down with Colin Jessup and found out exactly how he went from working in a warehouse to trading Forex for a living.

But that's not all, he has also become a trading mentor and will be opening his own fund soon. We talked about many different topics, but what I found the most interesting was his take on how to transition from a day job to actually trading for a living.

In the interview, he outlines what he believes is the amount of money that the average person will need to be making trading to even consider making quitting their job. He also shares how he did it and when he knew it was the right time to make the leap.

He now trades from his lakeside home in Canada and loves the fact that he his his own boss. This is also an exciting time for him because it is getting ready to open his own fund and he talks about how that is going and why he decided to do it.

What I liked the most about talking with Colin was his down-to-earth personality and practical outlook on trading. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I enjoyed doing it.

If you have any comments or questions for Colin, feel free to leave a comment at the bottom.

In This Episode:

  • Colin names the mentor responsible for making him a successful trader

Adam Jowett: Not Having A Mentor, Beating Cancer and Trading For A Living // EP4

Here we go again! I'm happy to present this episode of The Trading Lifestyle Podcast and my interview with Pro Aussie Forex Trader Adam Jowett.

Just like with the other interviews, it was both fun and informative.

Adam has an amazing story and I was excited to sit down with him and find out how he got started and what makes his trading tick. He used to be a computer programmer, but enjoys his trading career much more.

At one point in his life, he was diagnosed with cancer and going through that ordeal made him realize that life is too short to be sitting in an office all day. After he was cured, he was even more determined to become a full-time trader and leave the rat race.

It was great to talk to Adam, he is a down-to-earth and funny guy. He primarily day trades the AUDUSD out of the garage of his house and readily shares his weekly trading results on his blog.

If you want to really see how a pro day trader trades, check out his weekly wrap-ups. I think you may find some of his results unexpected.

Enjoy!

Walter Peters (Naked Forex): The Inspiring Story Of How He Quit His Dream Job to Trade Naked For a Living // EP7

Walter Peters

In the last episode of The Trading Lifestyle Podcast, I interviewed Colin Jessup and he told us exactly how he went from working in a warehouse, to trading for a living.

He attributed a large part of his success in trading to Walter Peters FXJake Personal Trading Program, so I was excited when Walter agreed to sit down and chat with me about his own personal journey to trading for a living.

In fact, it was actually Walter who recommended that I interview Colin, so I was also glad that I got the opportunity to thank Walter personally.

As I turned on my computer to do the interview, I didn't really know what to expect. I knew a little bit about Walter's background from his blog and a few things that Colin mentioned, but not much else. He turned out to be a very down-to-earth guy with an incredible story of perseverance.

This interview will be especially useful if you are feeling stuck in your trading and want some ideas on how to get through it. He is also very much a person who trades for lifestyle and gets a great deal of satisfaction from helping people become successful in Forex trading.

Just like everyone else I have interviewed, he is very passionate about trading and because he also has a PhD in Psychology, it was interesting to get his opinion on the psychological profile that traders need to have to be successful.

In particular, we talked about why the Fight or Flight Response principle does not usually apply to trading and which trading systems people tend to stick with.

Let me know what you think about this interview in the comments below and if you have any questions for Walter, you can post them here or head on over to his website, a link is listed after the video.

  • Find out how long it took Walter to learn to trade for a living.
  • The one thing that kept him going when his trading was not going well.
