ILLINOIS Becomes 11th State to Legalize Marijuana, LUXEMBOURG, to be first European country to legalize cannabis, 33 States Medical, 11 Legal
On New Year's Day, Illinois became the 11th state to legalize marijuana, prompting long, long lines to form at dispensaries before sunrise. Additionally, the new law allows for criminal record removal for more than 100,000 people.
Marijuana in Luxembourg, similar to the outcome that has taken place in Canada, Uruguay and 11 US states, Luxembourg authorities reached the conclusion that the prohibition of cannabis has failed to achieve any objectives and war on drugs. With that the country will be the first EU country to legally regulate the production, sale and consumption of marijuana.
