The Tenth Man

The Tenth Man

The Tenth Man

Deep, surprising analysis and commentary on US and world affairs with the goal to "think outside the box". Original, and different, with no ads or filler.
Once a week we'll do a deep dive into a current topic, pointing out the facts which are hidden in plain sight. The mainstream media repeat misinformation, we'll show you the obvious truth, and the little-known facts which the experts all know, but have been keeping to themselves.
Is there an epidemic of violence? No, crime is going down.
Should we accept all the asylum seekers? We already accept more than any other country.
Topics may be up-to-the-minute, or may be timeless.
All people may be good, but some are misinformed so we'll shine a light on climate change, feminism, vegetarianism, gun control, reverse-discrimination, illegal migration and the radical left.
Witty, jarring, but always kind.

In this episode, the speaker argues against the commonly cited statistic that native-born U.S. citizens are more likely to commit violent crimes than illegal aliens. They contend that this comparison lacks depth and overlooks many instances where crimes by illegal aliens are reported. They criticize both the media and politicians for pushing the narrative, which they see as misinformation and gaslighting. Various examples are cited, including crimes committed by Venezuelan and Chilean gangs and individual cases like Patrick Lyoya and Brittney Griner. The speaker plans to explore the actual data and articles in the next episode to expose what they believe are the media's false claims about immigrant crime rates.

You have all been told that the US has “mass killings” every day. This is false. I know this will surprise you, but while there is gang and drug violence in our urban centers, it is a myth created by the Left that men stalk our streets daily nationwide killing at random. There are many aspects to this myth. This podcast attacks one of them - the organization which in 2013 suddenly changed the number of actual “mass killings” from one a month into one a day just through data manipulation and word play. Here's the story of Mark Bryant, Director of The Gun Violence Archive.

George Zimmerman and Kyle Rittenhouse are just two of several examples the fake news uses to show that Stand your Ground laws are a threat to public safety.
We examine four times they have come up and might even have worked, but did not.

It's front page news that TSA inspectors came to work, screened a million bags, and fund a gun here and there. That's their job. It's not clear what is considered news, given these thousands of guns have not been used in any crime.
TSA employees share their opinions and their emotions, but not a lot of facts needed to evaluate this story.

Everybody has heard the Americans don't have the metric system. Like a lot of things we've heard, it's not totally true, and to the extent that it is true, there's a story behind it.
Part one introduced the thoughts behind the metric system from the perspective of someone puzzled that everyone thinks we still use hogsheads and firkins.
In this episode all the barriers to American metrication are exposed. The outside world was surprisingly finicky in its quest for a standard, and America was usually ahead of the world. Too bad America was not in charge.
