The Easter Rising in Ireland saw many men fight for Irish independence, and this is very well documented. Instead, we look at the women who played an integral role during this period. A lot of the source material and inspiration for this short piece came from Sinéad McCoole's fantastic book 'No Ordinary Women'. I strongly advise giving it a read. Music:
