Well last week was explosive for many with one celebrity #willsmith slapping #chrisrock because of what he said about #jadapinkettsmith.

Could The Spiritual Café be silent in such blinding circumstances? The answer is no it cannot, because, we are dealing with the effects, fallout in the bosom of humanity. It is not uncommon for people only wanting to focus on the light, but, it is the shadow that ultimately defines us. Has it defined #willsmith ?

Our shadow, it helps us to figure out if the shapes we are creating in the light are authentic and true or are they just simply surface level agreements to distract others, and in particular ourselves, from who we truly are and what we truly feel.

We deep dive into the psych of the human condition and spiritual persuasions to investigate whether what we witnessed at the Oscars is a larger lesson or message to mankind. Ejay SoulGuide chats with Alaena Adam: Living Your Spiritual Truth No Matter What.

When I think about this women I think authentic. Alaena talks her talk and walks her walk. She received a second diagnosis of cancer recently and the first diagnosis was way back in 1999 which she beat on the physiological level as she came to appreciate but not on the spiritual and emotional level. Giving rise to a reoccurrence 27 years later. She said in her own words that she was shocked to be revisited by what she likes to call the big C.

In this podcast Alaena takes us on her incredible journey, sharing with us, as she describes it, her accomplished and non -accomplished self. Her desire and efforts to fully heal from her health challenges from Cancer to Covid-19 and back again. Facing near death twice from a series of blood losses to being in a weaken state and contracting Covid-19.

As she speak to me from Mexico, where she is receiving non-evasive treatment, we ask the question is this the time to abandon your spiritual beliefs or embraces them? What did Alaena do when the fear set in? When panic set in? When the possibility of death reached out to claim her?

This eloquent Goddess does in this Podcast what she calls ‘Exposure Therapy’ and bares all so that others may benefit and take courage when facing such challenging times. Our intention is to navigate thoughts and feelings which plague our ability to maintain our faith on the path we have chosen or the path chosen for us.
