The Someone You Should Know Podcast

A Life in Music: The Extraordinary Journey of a Multi-Talented Musician

My guest this time started his musical journey at age 7. From early lessons in saxophone, drums, and piano, he honed his craft in Buffalo before landing a life-changing gig with a Motown-signed band in Detroit. With chart-topping hits like Here Come Da Judge and Soul Clappin', he toured North America, later recording with members of Billy Joel’s Band, Blood, Sweat & Tears, and more.

His career highlights include 11 tours with Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Dion DiMucci, and performances with legends like Jerry Lee Lewis, and Frankie Valli. With seven albums, 35 instruments mastered, and global recognition, he continues to shape the music world. Whether on stage, in the studio, or scoring films, his passion for music remains unstoppable. Please welcome King Colton, Someone, You Should Know.

Episode 252 - Stacy Widelitz / The Man Behind the Music

The late, great Patrick Swayze lit up the screen in classics like Ghost , Roadhouse , and Point Break , but Dirty Dancing made him a superstar. While Swayze stole the show, the music played a crucial role—enter Emmy-nominated, multi-platinum composer Stacy Widelitz. He co-wrote She’s Like the Wind with Swayze, a song that became an iconic hit. Beyond that, Stacy’s talents extend to scoring TV themes and capturing stunning images as an award-winning photographer. From working alongside Patrick and Lisa Swayze to creating unforgettable melodies, Stacy has done it all. Don’t miss my conversation with Stacy Widelitz, Someone You Should Know !
