Curtis Jones was the standout performer and Carragher feels the midfielder’s display shows why the club did not need to sign Martin Zubimendi in the summer. Richards believes Liverpool showed they are genuine title challengers now, saying that ‘they have a real chance to go all the way this year’.

City's win moves them two points above Arsenal in the Premier League table going into the final weekend, whilst defeat means Spurs miss out on Champions League football next season.
