For this week's taste test, they try the new vegan Baxters soups, Ilchester's Vegan Blue and Melting Mature cheese, and - eek - some of Tesco's Christmas range!
This week's listener questions are all about organic food (is it actually better for us?) and ancient grains (what are they and why should we eat them?). To submit your questions to Holly and Molly, email [email protected].
The interview: Amelia Christie-Miller believes in beans so much that she set up her own company. Now she's campaigning for the future of food to focus on beans rather than meat replacement products. Find out why beans are so good for us and our soils...

News and reviews: Holly and Molly discuss the IPCC climate change report and why going vegan is one of the best things we as individuals can do to minimise our impact. They also chat about the Met Gala's plant-based menu before reviewing the new vegan range at Lidl and the new sausage, beans and cheese melt from Greggs. This week's reader question is on fish alternatives – have a listen if you'd like tips on cooking plant-based alternatives using clever kitchen hacks.
The interview: This must-listen interview with Dr Alice Brough looks at how she went from pig vet to animal activist after experiencing the treatment of livestock within the farming industry and the dangers this presents to human health and the climate crisis. Avoiding the upsetting details, Holly and Alice discuss the startling over-use of antibiotics, the risk of potential future pandemics, the SCRAP Factory Farming legal challenge and why Alice turned against her farming upbringing to go vegan for the animals. Alice also discusses her work to try and save Geronimo the Alpaca and her role in Joaquin Phoenix's new film, The End of Medicine. Does she feel hopeful for the future? And is it time we stopped being scared of activism and start getting involved now we are in a Code Red climate situation?

Join us for a chat and a rant about burning issues this week, including the UK-wide protests at the World Snooker Championships in Sheffield, the Grand National at Aintree and Extinction Rebellion's The Big One in London this weekend.

With only SEVEN YEARS left to make huge changes, it's no wonder we all have eco anxiety.

But don't worry, it's not all doom and gloom! We discuss how a new discovery could mean mushrooms can help us rid the planet of plastic waste and then in part two, the zen-like Lara Heimann (founder of the LYT yoga method) joins us to explain how we can use yoga concepts and techniques to be more compassionate to ourselves and to others.

We cover why more yogis aren’t vegan, what Lara eats on an average day, how we can meet people where they are to avoid turning people off veganism and the importance of our core – not just as a set of muscles but as the core of ourselves and our values.

NOTES
