We'll also uncover the underlying structure of the letters to the churches, and unravel how they all share a common narrative flow as follows:
- Christ presents Himself with specific attributes particularly suitable to the situation of each church, faith which provides the basis for overcoming the specific problem faced
- The condition and the particular problem are reviewed
- On the basis of the situation and problem, Christ issues either an encouragement to either persevere or to repent in order to avoid judgment
- This then forms the ground for Christ issuing a call for the churches to respond by heeding "hearing"
- On the basis of a positive response "overcoming", Christ promises the inheritance of eternal life with Him
