Gus Liem - Movie Producer / Lawyer / Jiu Jitsu addict
In this episode, I talked to my good friend Gus Liem, a jiu jitsu brown belt and a Hong Kong based film producer. One of the earliest practitioner of jiu jitsu in Hong Kong, we talked about his Jiu Jitsu experience and journey in Hong Kong, his view on gym culture, personal stories and much much more.
Gus, a former investment bank lawyer turned movie producer, is responsible for the greater China releases of movies including, Girls (闺蜜), The Secret (消失的爱人), The Stolen Years (被偷走的那五年), and The Allure of Tears (倾城之泪). He is also involved in the developments, productions and distribution of films in greater China directed or produced by Barbara Wong Chun Chun (黄真真), a leading Chinese film director whose 14 feature films include the classics Break Up Club《分手说爱你》and Truth or Dare: Sixth Floor Rear Flat《六楼后座》.
Gus is also a passionate jiu jitsu instructor.
