As a twenty-year-old member of the Air Force, today’s guest, was a lead gunner, searching for roadside bombs and IEDs and was responsible for an entire convoy of fellow Air Force Security members.
The experiences he faced in war didn’t seem to affect him until he returned home. Missing the brotherhood, the adrenaline, and a sense of purpose, he like so many Veterans fell into a deep depression.
How he climbed out of this depression after an attempted suicide and created his nonprofit Warrior’s Next Adventure is an incredibly moving and important story.
This is a longer episode than most, but today’s guest has an amazing journey, a compelling one and vital to helping veterans with PTSD.
Here is RŌL Radio with Warrior’s Next Adventure’s President and Founder Nick Rahn.
