Vulgar Display of Humour
The Rile Up with Brew and Krowley
08/26/24 • 40 min
Season 2 kicks off with quite the bang as an old acquaintance of the show makes his appearance known straight off the bat!
Kicking things off, the boys tell the story about their brand-new artwork (and what cracking artwork it is!) before the usual debauchery and chaos makes turns up with Brew asking Krowley about his recent health kick.
Krowley has a rile up about the fair ol city of Toowoomba and Brew eggs it on by sharing what was once thought to be a private text exchange, for all you punters to hear. Brew then fires up about his latest experience at McDonalds, the big red clown strikes again but it seems Brew has yet to learn his lesson when it comes to selecting a fast-food establishment for his culinary requirements.
After a quick shot at Tenacious D, Krowley calms down for what seems like a second before Brew gets him fired up again. The boys tell a quick tale of their latest adventure to a questionable Brisbane establishment, there's nothing wrong with it though their experience however, questionable! Brew brings back an old segment from the Youtube days which leaves Krowley with a foul taste in his mouth and Brew following suit.
Then it's time for the main event of the show, the main rile up, the grand slam. Krowley lets rip on an encounter he had at a local bar which shatters all advice he was ever given on this particular topic; you'll have to listen to understand! Finishing things off for the first episode of season 2, Brew and Krowley sincerely hope you enjoy "Vulgar Display of Humour".
Wrestling with Redcastle
The Rile Up with Brew and Krowley
10/21/24 • 41 min
Now for something completely different!
The boys are graciously welcomed into Chateau Redcastle this week to talk all things local wrestling with one of Brisbane's premier wrestling promoters, Heath Redcastle. Joined by none other than resident guest Jesse and 2 local wrestling legends, E.C Diamond and Shep Alexander this episode is a step away from regular listening but littered with everything you've come to expect from Brew and Krowley.
No further descriptions are necessary, and you'll just have to listen for yourselves to experience the chaos of another episode and the possibility of Krowley getting seriously hurt on November 9 at Mansfield Tavern for Carnival Sins.
Brew and Krowley sincerely hope you enjoy, Wrestling with Redcastle.
The Definition of Chaos
The Rile Up with Brew and Krowley
09/09/24 • 59 min
Another week, another returning guest and another dose of complete and utter chaos.
Jesse joins the boys on the couch for the third time (why Jesse why?) and this is the self-declared best episode in the arsenal so far!
There's no script, multiple rile ups and a recap simply can't do this one justice, you'll have to listen in to see exactly what we mean.
Brew and Krowley (and Jesse) hope you enjoy, The Definition of Chaos!
Cleaning the Beat
The Rile Up with Brew and Krowley
06/17/24 • 47 min
Episode 8 (and still not cancelled) finds the boys back at The Great Khan of East Brisbane's South Brisbane apartment...now there's a mouthful. After a quick shout out to their good mate's Dexx and Jackie and a quick spot of fan mail, Krowley kicks things off letting the audience in on a previously unreleased exchange between Brew and Krowley...about what piss to drink from Uncle Dan himself. This leads into a quick update of Brew's current moving situation (he's seriously bad at it hey) before Krowley has to defend himself against one of Brew's allegations surrounding his figure. Krowley uses this as an opportunity to allow a sneak peek into the dealings he has with a certain family member who loves a prank.
Brew prompts Krowley into playing a bit of a game which leads into some hilarious stories involving a certain part of the anatomy that is guaranteed to make you smile...or feel crook. Krowley revels in the past of another family members exploits that will leave you howling with laughter and confused as to how Krowley has somehow survived this long with role models of this caliber to follow. A commercial Brew saw earlier in the week gets him Riled Up about the state of reality tv before the lads wind down the episode with more tales of their time spent at one of Brisbane's more questionable(?) night clubs. Brew and Krowley sincerely hope you enjoy, Cleaning the Beat.
Welcome to the Rile Up
The Rile Up with Brew and Krowley
09/23/24 • 47 min
This fortnight sees the lads talking more unadultered rubbish and pushing boundaries that only they know how to, crudely and inappropriately.
After an attempt of respect, the lads fire off with Krowley talking about his recent visits to different Doctors that always seem to have some weird circumstances attached to them. This gets Brew riled up about a few choice words the local service station attendant had for him which gets the boys comparing what greetings give them the s@#$s.
A few totally unscripted callers dial in with a common theme and an old "acquaintance" of the show quickly makes an appearance. We truly hope that is the first and last appearance he(?) makes on the Rile Up. Krowley shares a truly passionate story about a recent after work excursion that he made before Brew delivers the main Rile Up about an establishment he visited. Once again proving he is the master of the machine.
With a quick hint of a potential topic for a later episode, Brew and Krowley sign off for another fortnight, yes that's right, fortnight and they hope you enjoy, Welcome to the Rile Up.
Cowboys from Newstead
The Rile Up with Brew and Krowley
10/07/24 • 59 min
Once again joined by the newly promoted resident guest, Jesse Nickolic, Brew and Krowley (and Jesse) hold Newstead brewery hostage with more unrelenting chaos.
Things kick off with everyone adapting to the new space with actual members of the general public within earshot of the expected profanity that you've come to love and appreciate...right? Thankfully no one was physically harmed making this episode...mentally and spiritually though, definite harm was caused.
Without giving too much away, as this episode is one that simply must be listened to appreciate, the laughter of the lads is at its definite peak with some truly outrageous stories and eggs...lots and lots of eggs. Brew and Krowley (and Jesse) hope you enjoy, Cowboys from Newstead.
Public Health Hospitality
The Rile Up with Brew and Krowley
05/02/24 • 40 min
Episode 2 of the Rile Up with Brew and Krowley kicks off with a quick catch up from the lads covering last weeks New Car topic. Brew talks about his dash mats while Krowley relays an encouter with AVG customer support. A quick deviation leads them down the path of a Sunday encounter at a local hospitality venue in South Bank, Brisbane. After this, an old acquaintance makes himself known on the show before Brew Riles Up over the audacity of some notable fast food outlets. Krowley chimes in for a story about a recent health procedure which leads the lads out for another week and Riled Up to do it all again with a special guest next week.
New Car University
The Rile Up with Brew and Krowley
04/19/24 • 39 min
Episode 1 - The inaugural rile up.
Brew and Krowley get used to the new audio equipment and Krowley question's Brew's tactics of cleaning out a necessary household item.
Krowley riles up over the education system and gives an insight of his employment history with a particularly large Australian supermarket chain.
A friend (pest) of the boys calls in for a quick spot before Brew launches into his rile up surrounding buying his new car (and she's a bloody beauty).
Wrapping things up for the first episode, the boys give a shout out to their new mate down the local club, thank a few local Barrys and sign off with a familiar tune.
Local Music Pedestrians
The Rile Up with Brew and Krowley
05/13/24 • 61 min
The third episode fires off with an exotic smell at Brew's place. The boys are joined by local Brisbane music mastermind from Regular Gonzales, Adriatic, Audiomachy and The Schema Collective, Jesse Nikolic.
After a quick catch up between everyone, Krowley plays a snippet of his train ride home leading Brew into his issues with Pedestrians. Krowley uses this as an avenue to attack people on wheels to which Jesse comes to the defense, protecting the sacred skateboard.
After the lads do a bit of bantering between themselves, an old sponsor gets some airtime promoting a questionable product. This leads the group into what is potentially the worst quiz in history but an amazing prize awaits either Jesse or Brew at the end. Krowley then plays his interview with their very first guest phoning in from Hollywood USA.
With an interesting build up, this leads The Rile Up into its main event for another week! After some ideas get thrown around, poor math's, non sensical segues into non-related topics. The boys sign off for another week, completely forgetting to thank their very special guest this week, Jesse "is this the right button" Nikolic. Sorry Jesse and thanks hey!
