Join us as WE come together to see the issues and the needs of today’s HEROES, our veterans and first responders. WE will discuss the solutions and see the organizations that are boots on the ground as WE combat the silent, invisible and deadly enemies our HEROES are facing. WE are a grassroots, nonpartisan, nonprofit acting in the Mission to honor, empower and support those who have served. WE are the shock and awe in combating the silent, invisible and deadly enemies of our daily heroes, the First Responders and Veterans. Our goals come on many levels and forms as WE are raising awareness to those who do not know, WE are providing resources to those in need and WE provide the opportunities to those who are still interested in serving and/or have not had or taken the chance to serve before. WE are the beacon of hope for many to change their world through recalibration and rehabilitation. Our goals are to get our HEROES back into their families and communities. Happy Heroes create happy communities.

This week we bring a group of patriots to the show! We have Mr. David Ogden with Patriot Dads Fitness and he shares his story about health and how to make changes in your life for the better. One of the best summaries I have ever heard was, “Make It Convenient, Keep it Simple”, from Mr. Ogden. We then have the entire cast (minus one) of Die Tired. They share some of their music, starting with “Better Off Alive” and then a premiere live version of their newest single coming out on August 25th, “Slow Down”. We finish off the night with their song: “Play”. They can be found on Spotify at: https://open.spotify.com/artist/3u85MmjA5iOpAtvZPWyus2?si=F94Tm0ukSCmRL40Co2yPKQ We had another guest join:Jason Steiner was here to throw out some information about his event on September 9 - Herostock!!!

This was our 200th episode.

Racquel, Kimmer, Jonathan and Andrea patched this things together without Mr. Petersen in the picture. WE send our condolences to the family of his wife, Coralie, and her sisters. They had a different kind of Mothers’ day, and we send hugs to them at this time.

We had no guests scheduled, but we were able to reach out to some of our past guests and had some surprise guests show up and spend a few minutes with us. We had Racquel Parfait on with us last night. She’s been a massive help with growing The People’s Patriot Project down in South Louisiana, along with Dylan Pitre, who showed up a little bit later in the show. Eric Mello, of Contagion Effect would jump in and hang out for a few minutes. Sounds like Eric is enjoying being a new Grandpa and was celebrating Mother’s Day for the first time with his daughter and grandbaby. Chad Hutto jumped on and spent a few minutes with us. Chad has been with us for a good while and it's been a little bit since we touched base, so it was great meeting with Chad again. Lee Williams jumped in for a few, but was also celebrating Mother’s Day with his family. It’s always great to see Lee. Shannon Book also jumped in for a while. It’s always nice to see Shannon and find out what’s going on in his world. He’s very busy right now booking gigs all the way out into November already. Follow Shannon and hear some great music. Speaking of Shannon Book, you will hear one of his songs here!

Jonathan played a game of ‘pick the song’, which is a more random way to choose from our list of amazing songs. Racquel chose first, and went with B, so that we could be reminded of the moms who have lost sons and daughters to the military mission. Shannon Book has the most amazing way of sharing the words that many others have thought and lived. Dear Mom - Shannon Book

WE then went with a song from a while back, one from our Minnesota friends, and their band, Lake and Lyndale. Coincidentally, that is and actual set of roads up here in Minneapolis! Still Here is one of their newer songs, and you can check them out on Spotify and Youtube for more! Still Here - Lake & Lyndale

A new friend of ours left us with some pretty amazing music, and Amanda Pruitt sends a very strong message in her song, Strong. Amanda works with several young women in the music business in development and stage presence and is currently developing a Troubadora platform for touring women who BRING IT! Strong - Amanda Pruitt

This week our show was sponsored by Healthy Living - presented to us by Brian Kendzor. This episode brings some great guests to the show! We were joined by veteran Dylan Pitre. He has been through some deep gulleys and has come out on top, and plans to stay this way. Dylan shares his story with no regret, and he is geared up to work with The People’s Patriot Project and help others who share parts of his story. Dylan plans to help and support Even If It Hurts.

Our musician guest is Michael Moss, straight up from Southern Louisiana! He was one of our incredible performers at the WeP3 on the Bayou Fest a couple weekends ago! Michael shares his story of service and what he has been doing since he left the military. The one consensus in the group was that they all want to help anyone out there struggling, Even If It Hurts.

We were also gifted with the presence of a few of our other friends, including Bobby Withrow from Texas Fallen. WE heard how is working day and night to make sure those affected by tornadoes in Texas have food and care. He is one busy man, and we love to support him. He is definitely a #communityheroes type of person. Bobby knows how to use the #ShockandAwe when taking care of his people. We will stay tuned and keep you up on what he has going. In this week’s episode of WE GOT YOUR 6 @ 6:00 PATRIOT Playtime with Mark and Andrea. They welcomed guest Steven Bates and his amazing poetry. He entertains us with some of his best poems and helps us understand the depth of healing that comes with pouring your soul into the words that come from the heart. Jenn Ford jumped in with us to play a couple songs that she wrote and performed... and she just never leaves without amazement behind. Jenn never fails to entertain, and we find ourselves falling in love with her dynamic personality as much as her music. We got to hear the background story of how, why and when she wrote these songs, and then that voice!!! Oh yeah! Come on in and hear the heart-to-heart conversation about struggles and successes that make all of us the very best we can be. The questions asked, the stories shared and the connections that are made are what bond The People’s Patriot Project to Shannon and those like him. THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT - WGY6@6, Ep: 067 – Our Rooster Is Bigger Than Your Rooster
play

10/20/21 • 59 min

In this week’s episode, Mark and Andrea welcome Chris Tice of Eagle Fire Enrichment to share his message. The music side is covered by visiting with Adam Berry, who Mark and Andrea watched live in Fort Worth, TX this summer. Chris Tice and his Eagle Fire Enrichment were here to share the message of leadership and positivity. His goal is to guide other leaders to be better than him. He lives on the idea that how we communicate with others is how we communicate within ourselves. Much of his work and message centers around positive actions and hope. Influence and impact equals INSPIRATION, and inspiration makes us keep reaching for better. As we do better, so do the people around us. Adam Berry comes to us from the heart of Texas, with his original songs. Adam has always had a soft spot for civil service men and women. He wants to give back. He claims to have put Denny's spin on the song “Boots on the Ground”, and he donates 100% of the proceeds to Denny’s mission OPVeteran. Denny Katona stepped in for a short time to shoot the chit with Adam, something about a butt chin. Denny also took some time to promote his OP VetFest that is coming up in October. Adam performed his song, “Close Enough” and thanked everyone for listening. The People’s Patriot Project has some events coming up. Mark and Andrea just got back from Georgia where they supported Adam and Matt with Feeding the Heroes, and spent time with Bobby Henline and 9 other nonprofits that help veterans and first responders. In October, they will host veteran and first responder musicians in the Twin Cities... they will play together on Friday night, the 22nd, at a fundraising event for a local LEO whose house recently burned down, and on Saturday, the 23rd, they will share their talents throughout the day with the Ruckers and Cornholers! WE are all about making relationships and being the communication that others sometimes let slip by. It’s about those who served, and we are here now to serve them.

There are many veterans out there who are putting their stories out there and trying to reach those who need it.

We have an amazing “Shark Daddy” with us today! Waylon McMullan shares his story and his music during the show. He has decided that music is what he wants to do, and the healing that comes with playing, writing, and listening to music is what he wants to share. His ‘real’ job? Well, playing with sharks! We Got Your 6@6 Episode 125: WE have some new blood in our lineup today! WE will start out with Brian “Big Country” Conwell and his story of Battling Adversity, and how he uses his health, his ambition, and his desire to be a better person to push people to be their best person.

Brian has been through the fire with losing a leg, and while he thought he might just be done with it all, he decided he would give it another chance. He has a big message and he wants to share his passion for his “new” life.

Our musician this week comes to us from the Nashville area again. It has been a pleasant time getting to know Kevin Palmer and hearing how he has found how music can be a gentle push into healing if we let it. It has been a story of personal healing and a road to understanding and helping his son. Battling Adversity has become a healthy challenge for Kevin and he has leaned on music and the memory of his father to push him forward with that healing.
