Passing the Torch: Reminiscing and Announcing the Next Host of The People of Peoria Podcast
06/05/22 • 29 min
I wish there were the perfect words to put here in the description for this one, but there simply aren't. More than anything, Alex and I (Austin) just want to say a HUGE thank you to all of you who supported this project over the years. As life has changed, it has made it more difficult for us to focus on this podcast we love so dearly.
In today's episode, we're reminiscing on the conversations we've been able to have, and announcing who will be taking over as the next host of The People of Peoria Podcast! This podcast isn't done; in fact, we hope it's just beginning!
We want to encourage you to continue to support this show, continue to champion the stories of the beautiful people that make Peoria so great, and remember that this community has so much to be proud of.
We hope you enjoy this one! And we can't wait to see where the show goes next!

Jodie & Cliff Vieira, Founders of Crafted DIY Studio & Bar - Episode 18
Today we have a highly requested episode we get to share with you! The experiences we get to have and the people we get to meet is always the best part of doing this podcast. And this episode is no different. We got to hangout for an evening with Jodie & Cliff Vieira, Founders of Crafted DIY Studio & Bar in the Warehouse District.
In this casual episode, they share what it was like to open Crafted 2 WEEKS before the shutdown, how Cliff has been Jodie's landlord twice, the process of adding new crafts and cocktails to their selection, how their personalities push each other further, their dream for Peoria, and so much more. And as always, we talk about crazy things like appointing a president of the internet, finding a penguin in the freezer, and hotdogs in the microwave. Listen in!
(Special shoutout to Ellie Gerber, a core part of the team at Crafted, for making our drinks for the evening! SO GOOD!)
