Welcome to Season 2, Episode 9 of The Paranormal Rundown! The Gang of Nerds has been obliterated this month, Vic has Covid, David has neck problems, Fr. Mike is in a lot of pain, and JJ is taking in the fine dining and culture of Japan. Since we weren't able to get together and record a new episode, we thought we would do a recap of Season One. This started out as a simple idea of pull the top clips out of the season and make an episode out of it, but it turned into having about 9 hours or more of really great conversation! As a result, we decided to make it a four part series. We will be publishing an episode each Friday through the end of the year. Sort of a Paranormal Rundown countdown to 2025. Each episode will feature the best clips from five episodes last season. So that it is not just reruns, Vic and David will be adding a little commentary on each of the episode and history of the rundown as we go.

This episode has conversation that covers Crop Circles, Hairy Hands, Ouija Boards, Estes Method, Azazel, Demons, Bamboo Chicken, Rocky Mountain Oysters, Cockroach Demon, Shared Stories, Hundredth Monkey Effect, The Antichrist, Bigfoot Encounter, Cheeseburger Cravings, Ghost Police Calls, and Spontaneous Combustion. Talk about a wide list of topics! We also have clips from our first guests, Father Michael Birdsong, paranormal writer Anna Maria Manalo, and retired police officer Val Zavala. We really enjoyed going back through these episodes and listening to some fascinating, and sometimes hilarious, conversation. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

It would be maybe a 30-45 minute episode with some of the more interesting conversation from a full Rundown. Welcome to the 5th episode of the Paranormal Rundown! In case you missed Episode 4, be sure to go back and check it out. We had our first Paranormal Rundown Roundup, where we have a much deeper discussion on a few topics we had previously tabled, including Folk Magic and the Antichrist.

For this episode, our guest is Bigfoot data miner and retired police officer, Val Zavala. Val profiles Bigfoot Sasquatches and has his own Facebook group: Michigan Bigfoot Report and Data: Gumshoguy’s Corner. He also co-hosts the Rolling the Bones podcast with his good friend Grizzly Chris.

Val served two tours in the military as a combat infantrymen and military police investigator. He is a Bachelor of Science graduate of Central Michigan University, and retired after spending over 25 years in law enforcement, from city all the way up to federal agencies. When off duty, he was a licensed private investigator. He has been a police instructor, published articles, spoken at seminars, and been featured on History A & E channel as a subject matter expert. He was even a vetted member of an international intelligence group. Needless to say, Val has his share of experience investigating things!

Before retiring, Val's last curtain call was a humanitarian act of paying it forward, when he set out to search for a person missing for 30+ years, and reunite them with their Ohio family (at no charge). The successful search and recovery took almost 2 years, aided by a medium and DNA.

In 2014, Val had his first and only Bigfoot encounter in Waterloo State Park, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Since then he has spent his time reading, analyzing, comparing and quantifying then sorting hundreds and thousands of Bigfoot reports across the U.S. and North America.

In addition to his thoughts on bigfootery, we discuss Hollywood Overseers, AI, cross pollination of paranormal experiences, phantom 911 calls, spontaneous combustion, psychics, missing 411, Sasquatch the Thief, and more. So get ready for a wandering journey through Val's extensive experiences in the paranormal.

Before we get started we do want to make you aware that this episode has several mentions of suicide. While our show is often light hearted and humorous, there can also be dark and emotional trauma related to paranormal events. We don't shy away from such things, but in this case we felt we should give you a heads up.

Welcome to Episode 20 of The Paranormal Rundown! We wrap up our first season with a special treat! Vic is going to finally give us the full details of the incredible cryptid experience he had years ago in Australia. Hard to say if it was a Yowie, Bigfoot, Lougarou, Dogman or what. It doesn't quite fit any specific one perfectly, so you decide. Father Birdsong also retells a recent, very vivid, Dream of Hell or Sheol.
