The first episode of the Ouroboros! A podcast that examines the origin and inspiration for stories and authors, and attempts to provide (some) historical reference for their existance. This episode is about the Discworld setting, created by the brilliant Terry Pratchett.

Cryptids and mythical beasts make up an enormous sum of what makes fiction so captivating. The human mind, compelled by fear, or a need of excitement or novelty, is capable of creating incredible beings that inhabit our folklore, myths and legends. How much of what is written has it's origin in truth? Or something like it? And which came first, the experience, or the idea? Is it possible that all monsters have always been, only to be re imagined with every passing century in every culture of the globe? And what does that imply about dragons - the most popular creatures of all time?
