The Not the End of the World Podcast
Hapi & the Lost Species
Science, music and psychology for the end of the world.
Although we, humanity, as a whole surely understands that we are in the sixth mass extinction I am fascinated by how people's perception and response to this existential phenomenon varies.
I have had hundreds, no thousands, of conversations around this topic over the last few years online and in person and it turns out the possible root cause may be even harder to grasp than we could have anticipated.
This podcast will cover all of the factors contributing to the extinction crisis of which I am aware and also my music, as a singer songwriter to accompany this time of dystopia.
I have a degree in Environmental Science and and I am a Master in Human Nutrition; I am also an analyst, a problem solver, a musical activist and singer/songwriter.

Episode 3 - Conspiracy Theories as a mental health issue
The Not the End of the World Podcast
10/12/23 • 29 min
Should we be studying the inner workings of the minds of those who don't seem to know what know what evidence is and therefore reject it?
My summary of the issue is this: by all means question - that's healthy, however, replacing reality with another version of reality is unhealthy.
Not understanding reality creates a negative impact for all of us, it affects our collective ability to solve problems if we are not understanding of, or, if we are in denial of the root cause of the problem.

Also in this Podcast: hedgehog health, imprisoned orcas and Brent Lee - the conspiracy theorist who came out of the 'rabbit hole' after 15 years of being consumed by the cult.
Hapi Reeping holds degrees in Environmental Science and Human Nutrition. With a strong background in analytical problem solving, she specializes in understanding the systemic factors contributing to the extinction crisis. In addition to her activism, Hapi leverages her talents as a singer/songwriter and musician to raise awareness of this crisis through 'protest pop' and one of her goals is to change the music industry so that music is not just about people.
She has a long-term vision of establishing an ecological empire, designed to serve as a benchmark for ethical business practices, something which is crucial to humanity and all life on earth seeing as nearly all businesses in the western world are unsustainable and therefore unethical.
Oh and by the way it's my music on the intro and outro xxx 🤘📻 🎶

Episode 4 - My Sphere of Influence
The Not the End of the World Podcast
03/03/24 • 34 min
I was trying to compile a list of a hundred people to connect with online and I realised, as Madonna says in her song 'Nobody knows me', it gets so hard to find someone to admire. So I came up with a list of fifteen instead and here they are - singers and activists mainly, sometimes they're both.
