Hey guys, we’re primarily a convention podcast, but everything is cancelled. I mean if it isn’t, it should be. The Nerd & Tie team is trying to cope as best they can, and this fever dream of a podcast episode is what resulted. Trae is stress laughing, Nick is just stressed out, and Gen is almost out of toilet paper.

On this episode of The Nerd & Tie Podcast we’re all back in the studio to talk about some serious and weird convention news. We’re focusing on three news stories this month, starting with Oregon based artist (and convention regular) Stephen “OutNerdMe” Poon getting indicted on child sex abuse charges. Then we lighten things up with Tennessee based Bubba Fest, whose owner made a post mocking the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, accused John Barrowman of Tax Evasion, and was somehow shocked that there was backlash about it? Finally our last story is about how, in the middle of a pandemic, LA Comic Con is still planning to move forward.

Yeah, this is the world we live in apparently.
