Introducing Tom Jonson to the NatLifePod:

I first met Tom at a ManMen experience that I held down here in Cornwall and I had little to no understanding of Tom’s successes as an England international rugby player. Tom shared his experience as a rugby player, but then opened up to what he endured as child and how that built him as a giant on the pitch. What Tom unpacked that day was something he hadn’t shared before and his vulnerability silenced the room. Tom is a giant of a man who has an incredible ‘happened for me’ message that will no doubt touch the lives of many. I hope you enjoy the conversation with Tom as much as I did.

The NatLifePod - Mastering presence with Jeff Lester
play

07/25/23 • 87 min

Meet my friend Jeff AKA the cacao bear - ok I made that bit up!

Jeff is one authentic being who through the pursuit of presence has fully leant in and let go of all that wasn’t serving him. Through Jeff’s pursuit he has unlocked something quite profound, which has enabled him to become the full expression of his unique gifts and talents. Jeffs embodiment of practice and full surrender to service enables him to hold space to a level that only a few I know can.

Jeff has an incredible back story and we unpack his story of how he transitioned from 300lb man with an engineering background to the light, bright, conscious, feeling, loving intuitive being that he is today.

On this episode of the NatLifePod I’m behind the mic with my wife, my rock, my lover, my partner, my best friend, my wisest adviser and the phenomenal mother to our four unschooled wildlings. Yes it’s the Key Stone that is Katarina Riddle.

A few years back I had the honour of getting behind the mic with Katarina to unpack our Natural Parenting approach for our friends podcast called WeMove. The podcast was really well received and ever since its launch I have been inundated with requests for me to get Katarina back behind the mic.

So here’s she is...

We hope you enjoy the conversation as much as we did.

Much love, you Beautiful Custodians of this Beautiful Planet.

Yes!! ! I’m back. We’re Back!

The NATLIFEPOD is a platform for conversation to help close the gap between wellness as an industry and wellness as a state of being.

This Episode of The NatLifePod is with me, Tony Riddle. Human, Husband, Father.

Yep I’m flying solo!

In this returning short form episode I unpack my overtrain, overwhelm and how my head and feet have been in the endurance game, but how my heart wasn’t. But then how taking time out, provided the space for me to reconnect with community and my bigger picture why.

I have some powerful Men’s Work conversations coming to the NATLIFEPOD, but for now here’s me and my mic. I hope you enjoy the brief unpacking of where I’ve been and my new heart led why.

Much love legends.

On this episode of the NatLifePod I’m behind the mic with Stevie Ward.

Stevie Ward is a former professional rugby player who played in one of the most successful teams in super league history.

We unpack Stevie’s journey from the curios kid, picking up a rugby ball first time, to then becoming the youngest grand final winner ever, and being named captain at just 26 years of age. We then go on to unpack the injuries, the mental health issues and the brain injury that then led to Stevie retiring from Rugby at just 27 years of age.

Through his ups and downs, his wins and what was being perceived as losing in life, Stevie has birthed a belief that the truest form of resilience is to realise the potential of our true selves.

Stevie is doing great work in the community through Mentality which he launched in 2016.

Mentality is a platform for inspiring conversation around mental health for men and offers counselling and life-coaching services.

I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as we did.

You can help us close this gap between wellness as an industry and wellness as a state of being, by liking, commenting and sharing the pod.

Much love, you Beautiful Custodians of this Beautiful Planet.

You may of heard of couch to 5k. Well this is a story of mobility scooter to marathoner.

My next guest samphire Haye’s shares a story of true healing and transformation.

Sam talks to her healing journey from being a couch bound chronic pain sufferer on pain meds to a thriving, marathoning Natural Lifestyle Coach and how healing herself through a holistic approach combining natural movement, natural nutrition, mindfulness, nature immersion and a whole heap of self-love and compassion she now gets to help empower others on their healing journey.

If you are looking for inspiration then this conversation with Sam will no doubt tick that box.

I hope you enjoy the conversation as much we did.

Hello and welcome to the natural lifestylist podcast

Happy New Year all you beautiful beings of Planet Earth.

I recorded this podcast way back in the first half of2020 but then I dropped into hyper-focus mode in preparation for the crazy one man, two feet, three peaks barefoot event.

Then on returning from the 17 marathons, 3 barefoot peaks in 9 days I hit a massive comedown and had to go into save my own ass mode. This included the whole Riddle Tribe moving out of London and into the country.

One could say I somewhat dropped the ball on this podcast. Apologies to the wonderful Abby and all those who have waited for this.

But in keeping with my push don't flow philosophy I suspect this will be exactly the right, devine time to drop this episode.

There has been lots of talk recently on the new norm but as far as I'm concerned the only new norm we should be moving towards is, actually, the natural norm. Which, ain’t that new.

This conversation has certainly helped me better understand and articulate my message around the natural food norm.

It takes a huge amount of skill in our modern, industrialized world to get our fundamental needs met. I hope this conversation will help you refine your food filter and make that journey a little easier to understand.

Abby Rose is the co-creator and co-host of Farmerama, a platform for the regenerative farming movement; for them to share their voices.

Abby is also the co-founder of Vida Cycle apps, creating digital tools to create ecology, profitability and beauty on farms around the World. Their tech tools are built to support a paradigm shift towards regenerative farming where farmers are empowered through learning from their observations.

I really hope you enjoy this chat. I learnt a hell of a lot from Abby and I feel like it's just the start. Enjoy the conversation.

The NatLifePod - Episode 1: Surfers Against Sewage with Hugo Tagholm
play

09/03/19 • 36 min

I had the pleasure of visiting the mighty Surfers Against Sewage yesterday and getting behind the mic with Hugo Tagholm.

We discussed sustainability and how this small but powerful organisation are making huge waves. Together, we are the voice of the ocean. We inspire, unite and empower communities to protect oceans, beaches, waves and wildlife. They are a grassroots movement that has grown into one of the UK’s most active and successful environmental charities. Not just surfers, not just sewage. They began as a response by the surfing community to the dreadful state of our beaches. Those hardy souls who ventured into the water back then often found themselves swimming in raw sewage. There’s tales of sanitary towels on heads and human poo sandwiched between bodies and boards. Completely unacceptable. The campaign grew loud, proud and strong and thanks to the passion and perseverance of their members — the UK now enjoys some of the cleanest beaches in Europe. But ‘Plastic is the new sewage’ as it is now the biggest threat to our beaches, our precious marine eco-system and our happiness. Plastic Free Coastlines and their priority going forward is to fight the plastic pollution that blights our beaches and strangles our seashores. Britain still fails to recycle almost all of its plastic waste but a major government initiative means that could change over the next few years and SAS are once again a leading voice to help shift legislation. SAS were a leading voice in ensuring supermarkets plastic bag charges came into play and they are now working on making a deposit return scheme for plastic bottles part of UK law.

Psychedelics have helped me and many others that I know through real dark times of addictions and depression.

My own breakthrough with psychedelics provided the breaking down of my belief systems and reawakened an overwhelmingly empowering sense of my own ability to change.

I’m super excited to be sharing this next episode of the NatLifePod with you because I’m behind the mic with Professor David Nutt. who is a neuropsychopharmacologist specialising in the research of drugs that affect the brain and conditions such as addiction, depression anxiety, and sleep.

In this chat with David I unpack my own journey with psychedelics and the huge shifts that I have made through working with these powerful medicines David then helps to explain what was actually happening with my brain during and after these mind altering, healing and life changing experiences.

It’s a really exciting time and certainly feels that we’re on the cusp of a major revolution in psychiatric medicine and neuroscience that could see psychedelics being used to treat addictions, depression and other mental health conditions.

We discuss the potential therapeutic purposes of psychedelics for conditions including depression, PTSD, addiction, anxiety, and eating disorders.

I hope you appreciate the direction of this conversation and the great work that David Nutt is doing here.
