This is the fifth episode with the matchless Myriam Catrin, The Dragon Lady, who for multiple decades have created textures and looks for some of cinema's most memorable assets in modern times. In my opinion Myriam has been producing some of the world's absolutely best texture work for decades!

Claudia has risen through the ranks of Pixomondo, where she today serves as texture supervisor. I first came across her on an online presentation called An Asset is Born, where she spoke intelligently about texturing and more. And so her name promptly entered my mental notebook as someone I'd like to discuss textures with now and in the future.
Recently Claudia graciously gave me over 2 hours of her time; where we discussed everything from balancing the demands of being a team lead and supervisor to occasionally satisfying her own individual needs as an artist. Yep, she is a dragon fan as well – and with her impressive work on House of the Dragon, she has entered herself into the pantheon of texture artists battling it out for best dragon of all time.

When you have an artist, or you yourself have a period in your life, where you are outrageously creative, and then it changes? What happens? What causes it? Where does it go? What does it feel like for the artist in question?
Adam was a wildly creative maverick when I first met him. Over the years he has changed into something completely different. He still has a large personal output of art projects, but the subject matter and the nature of them are night and day different.
What happened?
Trying to uncover that, we work our way around a lot of topics that influence, shape and motivate artists.
As artists we strive for perfection. But “perfection” is rarely available to us in the commercial world...
