With the end of Summer comes the continuation of the push to finish our year off strong. To hit our goals. To accomplish what we set out to accomplish at the top of the year. It all comes down to this final stretch for us now. This also makes it really easy to get down on ourselves about what we haven't achieved yet, and if we feel it's even actually possible to get there anymore.
Our mindset is a powerful thing. When we can control, it gives us an unfair advantage over our competition.
A lot has happened over the past number of months. People have been distracted with the good weather... and for good reason. The market has been slowing, rates are climbing, nothing is getting any easier... and in fact money is at the forefront of many conversations lately. It puts pressure on people, it puts pressure on mindsets.
We discuss this in detail on this episode and I include action steps you can implement immediately.
We talked about some of our recent podcast episodes over the past few weeks, what some of the takeaways were, and why you should tune in to all of them if you haven't yet. Everyone has so much value to share. From Manuj Aggarwal talking about the limitless possibilities of AI, to Kelsey Belluz sharing how to make a $hit ton of money in real estate, to Adam Lyons who joined us to talk about your blueprint for success, the shows have been loaded for you.
I also share a story about the parallel between our "pursuit for happiness" and the shoes we are standing in right at this exact moment as you read/listen to this episode. Born in the USA, but of Congolese origins, his life and aspiration continues to be marked by his relentless pursuit for socially responsible meaning in his professional and personal life.
At the age of 17 years old, he fled the Democratic Republic of The Congo (DRC) due to the civil unrest and had to begin his life anew in the US.
He began his career in Real Estate as a newly licensed Realtor with a local real estate firm in Northern Virginia in 2014 shortly after completing his business degree, and eventually managed the firm’s lead generation department, and later its development and growth in some of its key markets.

Most Realtors hate cold calling, and door knocking which is obvious. And studies show that most don't like hosting seminars or giving away free value.
On one hand too many people say no, and on the other its a whole bunch of time without direct results of any deals.
Yet we so often hear about the term value, and how we need to give it out. In the same breath, we hear about being a leader, and how this helps us grow. In fact I tell my kids everyday that I want them to be leaders as opposed to followers.
So what does it mean to be a Leader? As the circle goes round, it means providing value to others in a variety of ways. It means helping others.
And we know the term "give and you shall receive"...the power of reciprocity. The best way to lead, is to lead by example. Show people how to add value, show people how you help others, show people the good that is possible, and they will follow in your foot steps.
Being a Leader means being genuine about your intentions. Not giving so you shall receive, but giving so others can have. Only then, does the universe reward you. And now you too will receive.
