Conversation #50 It's My Podcast-Versary!!!
The Mindfully Rich Podcast
03/11/21 • 19 min
A year ago today, it was a late night that I sat in my living room contemplating an almost two-year hesitation at starting my podcast.
Y’all, I had every excuse you could think of, “do people even listen to podcasts” “would people care about money topics” “would I get people to listen to me” “am I qualified enough to have a podcast,” “what if the podcast fails,” hell you name it I thought it. Still, I decided to be like @nike and Do It!
On my living room floor, I sat and recorded my first podcast episode on my iPhone X while editing and producing an intro and outro, and baby; I did it. I finally took a baby step toward my goal!
Today I have written, produced, and edited 50 episodes on my iPhone, I might add, gained over 200 subscribers across streaming platforms, catered content to a listenership in over 67 countries, launched a successful savings challenge, and have had thousands of episodes downloads thus far! Baby, I’m winning!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I'm claiming this year to be bigger, bolder, and better, and I can’t wait to triple my subscribers and report over 1 million downloads in 2021🙏🏾
All I can say is Thank You to yall my supporters, my listeners, and my tribe! Keep rocking with the kid, and I’ll keep y’all financially educated and entertained.🖤
I love y’all🤗

The Mindfully Rich Podcast
07/12/22 • 21 min
Welcome to The Mindfully Rich Podcast!
This month I'm back with: The Dreams & Nightmares Mindset Series; In this series, I'm focused on shifting ones scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset.
So let's start there, your mindset, the beliefs you've developed that shape how you make sense of everything. Your mindset can also influence how you think, feel, act, and manage your money and overall finances?
When someone has a scarcity mindset, they've eliminated the possibility of any abundance in their lives because they've limited themselves from ever having more, which makes them believe they'll never be enough for them to prosper.
When someone has an abundance mindset, they've opened themselves to expecting greatness in their life. Their aware that there is enough for everyone out here and that they, too, are deserving of success just like anyone else! An abundance mindset increases possibilities and critical decision-making.
Today I'm going into detail on the financial benefits of having an abundance mindset, so tune in for this impactful last episode of the series as I give you my perspective on how your mindset has the power to give your finances life!

Conversation #97 The Dreams & Nightmares Mindset Series: Part One: Shifting From A Scarcity Mindset
The Mindfully Rich Podcast
06/27/22 • 21 min
Welcome to The Mindfully Rich Podcast!
This month I'm back with: The Dreams & Nightmares Mindset Series; In this series, I'm focused on shifting a scarcity mindset and discussing the opportunity cost of an abundance mindset as it pertains to managing your finances.
Today I'm starting the series off with how to shift your mind from a scarcity mindset and how this mindset contributes to lack and limiting financial beliefs.
So let's start with your mindset, the beliefs you've developed that shape how you make sense of everything. Your mindset can also influence how you think, feel, act, and manage your money and overall finances?
When someone has a scarcity mindset, they've eliminated the possibility of any abundance in their lives because they've limited themselves from ever having more than they have ....they pretty much believe they'll never be enough for them to prosper.
Because there's a lot to cover on this topic, I'm doing a two-part series that covers:
- Part One: Shifting From A Scarcity Mindset
- Part Two: The Benefits of An Abundance Mindset
Stay tuned for each episode of the series as I give you my perspective on how your mindset has the power to give your finances life!

Conversation #129 | The Fall: From Six Figures to Scraping By
The Mindfully Rich Podcast
08/19/24 • 26 min
Welcome Back to Season 4 of The Mindfully Rich Podcast!
Did ya'll miss me? Well, I missed ya'll too, but I had to take time to focus my thoughts and get real with myself—and with ya'll. After spending some time in prayer with The Holy Spirit, I felt led to share my most authentic series yet, one that dives into topics I've never touched on before because of my own shame. But this isn't about me; it's about YOU. My goal has always been for you to feel seen, heard, and inspired by real stories and truth. So, let's get into it!
This season, I'm kicking things off with a brand-new series: "From Six Figures to Scraping By Rebuilding After Financial Distress." We're talking about the emotional and practical aspects of going from a high income to financial hardship, using savings to survive, and finding your way back to financial stability.
Episode 1: "The Fall: From Six Figures to Scraping By"
In this raw and real episode, we explore how quickly financial stability can vanish, even for those earning six figures. Whether it's due to job loss, medical emergencies, economic downturns, or poor financial decisions, anyone can find themselves struggling. Today, I’m giving you three actionable tips to help you navigate financial distress:
- Tip 1: Assess the Damage—Get real about your finances. Calculate what you owe, what's in savings, and your essential monthly expenses.
- Tip 2: Trim the Fat—Cut unnecessary expenses immediately. Key steps include downsizing, selling assets, and eliminating non-essentials.
- Tip 3: Reach Out for Help—Don't let pride delay your recovery. Seek assistance through government programs, family, or financial advisors.
Closing Thought: Hitting rock bottom is tough, but the first step toward recovery is recognizing where you are, what needs to be done, and making a plan to change it!
