Episode 23 - Unmasking Patriarchy & Internalized Oppression
It's not uncommon for high-achieving women to look successful and accomplished on paper while still secretly feeling like an imposter or trapped by their own success. As a result, they're often unable to fully appreciate their accomplishments, realize their power, show up authentically, or feel free and fulfilled. Along with other competing narratives, the effects of living in a patriarchal system and the trauma of internalized oppression are potent contributors. On the podcast today, we're having a conversation about these issues and providing suggested acts of liberation to break free and rise above these limiting systems so you can have the career and life you want.
In this episode of the Midlife Career Rebel Podcast, you'll discover...
- What patriarchy and internalized oppression is and how it manifests.
- Why you struggle with feeling successful despite your achievements.
- How to spot when it's playing out in your life and what you can do about it.
- How to identify and reject the myths developed by the patriarchy.
- Why create a safe space to do this work in the Career Rebel Academy.
