Uh oh, now we done it. Back to back guests?! Have we lost our minds?! Probably, but it's summer break and we called up another F1 podcasting pal; Adam from F1 Fantasy HQ! He's here to help salvage what's left of Patrick's gawdawful season, and give you the tips and strategies to help you finish the season on pole. As always there's some NFL sidebar and unregulated silliness, but hey, that's what we're here for.
3:15 - Boom, 3 mins in and we're already serving up the season-smashing strats. Adam tips us his hand and gives us his chip strategy AND line-up for the second half! He gives us a handful of his own credentials, to remind you that he IS the light at the end of the Formula 1 Fantasy tunnel.
9:30 - Adam spills his beans again! Now he's telling us where and how and who you can look to for insider information going into each weekend. We may have slipped a little truth-serum in his coffee, or he's just a super-nice guy who loves talking F1 Fantasy, maybe both. Adam breaks down tier pricing and even manages to say something nice about our favorite daddy's boi! Whatta guy!
18:00 - We get into the last race and how Georgie Porgie's DQ crushed fantasy scores across the lands. Adam's hot on VCARB, and as usual, has the stats and data to back it up. We talk Haas, and how we love their bad. Worst fantasy score of all time? Sounds like our boys...
30:07 - NFL time. A Pat and two Packers, yikes, we understand if you find us intolerable, but we appreciate you stickin' with us thus far. Adam tells us about his trip to TB12's HOF celly at Gillette. Sounds like a magical night. We touch on Bill Belichick, and he's touching on, well you get it.
44:20 - A little Formula 101 with guest-professor Adam! He learns us on some track limits! Quali or race-day, keep em between the lines! Welcome back Midfielders!
Just because it's the start of summer break, doesn't mean we're not ready to rock and roll with another JAM packed episode. We brought in the big guns early and got our ol' pal Mark Schofield to help us ease the pain of no F1 for a month, with some talk of what we might expect after the break, the NFL, Olympics, and bike racing! Hang out with us as we run the gambit with Mark yet again, on another fantastic episode!
13:12 - We break away from the Squish and Williams to talk a bit about McLaren, and what they need to do to really take it to the energy drink team in the latter half of the season. Mark think's they have the car to do it, on merit, and we're inclined to agree. Just do-you papaya bois!
22:10 - Most Impressive Driver? The M.I.D.? We go back to back, to back, and share our picks for the best drivers on the grid for the first half of the '24 season. We make some off the wall picks, as well as touch on the real contenders. Quality speculation as always.
27:05 - Most Impressive Team! We start tearing into the constructors and who's really made an impact in the first half. Haas stands out surprisingly, we love our bad boys, but it's great to hear Mark's got some love for PMag and the Hulk too. Blah blah, McLaren, blah. Alpine??
38:36 - We take turns talking tracks! We go around the table sharing our favorite moments so far, and those yet to come! We've got some real bangers on the schedule right out of the gate, with The Temple, Singapore and COTA on the not so distant horizon.
51:28 - NFL pick 'ems! Dan love's his pick 'ems! We each take a team from the NFC and the AFC to make our preseason Super Bowl picks! Patty steals a sleeper from Dan, and we wrap up with some more of our person Olympic highlights. Patrick stayed awake through all the cycling talk too! Bonus points!
Whew! If there's anyone that can make us earn our keep, it's Mark Schofield. The brains, the brawn, the subtle northeastern accent. Welcome back Midfielders!
We're wrapping up our silly seasons and are headed back to reality. School's starting back up, NFL season is on the horizon, and the F1 summer break is almost over! We're headed to Nederland for Darth's home race. It's okay, we only take a thousand cuts at the Dutch this episode. Hang on to your weird bicycle as we get ready for the Dutch GP.
2:30 - F1's sending down the no-no's from the top, means bad news for those of us trying to squeeze a nickel out of the cash-cow of top-tier racing. ARE YOUR FAVORITE F1 CORRESPONDENTS TOTALLY DONE FOR?!?!? Of course not. But we break down this, and many other news tidbits, that Dan has scraped off the bottom of the barrel before we get back to the second half of the season.
12:40 - Bring back the hate! Well, just a little bit. Are the FIA and the powers that be pulling the reigns too hard on the drivers and principals when it comes to race-day criticism? It's not our place to judge, but we're OBVIOUSLY gonna weigh in our small-town opinions on the matter. Either way, mean people suck, and if you can't be nice, be funny.
18:45 - Tires!? Tracks? Cars? Oh yeah, there IS a race season still happening. It's been a minute since Dan has given us a Pirelli preview and boy does it have us all juiced and ready for another weekend on the track. We make some BOLDIES and some less-than-liklies? Patty needs to braven up a bit if he wants a bold claim, but we still love him.
