WawawaWelcome back Midfielders!
Boy are we glad you're on board for another nail-biting episode of The Midfield Podcast! We're gonna break down the bonanza in Belgium team by team, talk about who's going where for next season (actually and theoretically), as well as play some games and have some good ol' fashioned midfield fun. Thanks as always for choosing the midfield as your F1 news/doofus podcast/broadcast! Let's get into the good stuff!
11:00 - The hometown favorites! Our orange brethren, wait, if they're at the top of the order... No, they haven't taken the number one seat in the constructors yet but at this rate, they'll be out of our league in a jiffy. For now we'll touch on the papayas and their yet another solid race. Oscar stepping up when Lando struggles, what more can a soccer dad ask for?
18:40 - Red cars, red faces of frustration. Patty's steamed! Can the 'raris figure it out? Why does everything they do seem like a random guess? Leave it to these midwesterners to crack the code. Wait, we actually did, Squishy's a driver, not a strategist, case closed.
25:30 - The Silver studs! Arrows, whatever. Porgie had a one in a million race, cause he's a cheater. Lewis killed it, had a monster of a race, looking primed for a late-season surge. We touch on our Mexican midfielder, and the top team's refusal to ditch this bum. Merch is king.
31:50 - Aston, Aston, Aston. Whew, what to say. We squeeze out a few nice things to say about our favorite daddy's boi, and that's about it. Fernando's struggling, but seems quiet about it. We've got our ears as low to the ground as we can stand when it comes to our Canadian constructors. Love you B.
38:33 - VCARB. Despite tanking from the start of the race these guys don't drop places. Danny got point, and Yuki made the good fight from P60. These guys love to keep the Kirkland brand midfield rockin' and rolling.
41:10 - A new bad boy's in town! We couldn't be more excited to have one of the rowdiest racers on the grid in a Haas uniform for 2025. Estie Bestie's been signed to drive alongside a rookie Ollie Bearman, what could possibly go wrong? We. Can't. Wait.
44:00 - Slip sliding into Alpine. Not much to say about poor Pierre. His car hasn't worked right and he hasn't seemed himself since his big break up with Ocon. Hopefully he can regroup a bit over the break and give the french team a reason to stay on the circuit.
52:15 - Not much to say about Williams in Belgium, other than the fact that this is the race we found out Carlos is ready to squish it up in blue instead of red. Is James Vowles an F1 mastermind, and will we look really dumb this-time next year? Pigs can't fly, but I've seen some jump pretty high.
