The final, the finale , the very end, the last part in the three part Tom Petty Deep Dive series. I've saved a wonderful, kind ,warm and intruiging man for the last episode. Mr Paul Zollo, music journalist and author. He spent a year interviewing Tom every Saturday at Tom's pad in California for his utterly compelling 'Conversations with Tom Petty book. He was given access to some really very personal and candid accounts of Tom's life and much more. We had a beautiful talk, he's a lovely guy and you'll get plenty from it. It's been a real privilege bringing you this mini series and I hope you've connected or re-connected with Tom's work just as much as I have. Here is your second installment of the Tom Petty deep dive mini series. This time it's a far more reflective chat about Tom with his official biographer Warren Zanes. His book 'Tom Pett'y is one of my favourite reads. It's honest and pretty hard hitting. Warren spent many years off and on interviewing Tom and generally hanging around, touring with Tom and the band. He is also a solo artist himself and has many a cracking tune!
