Send us a text

Jess Williamson is a 5x Entrepreneur, an award-winning Mindset & Business mentor. She is a TedX speaker, has been featured in Forbes and major publications and now also an author.
Jess’ story is one of audacity, from starting a swimwear brand as a 22 year old with no previous business experience to taking the brand all the way to New York Fashion Week and beyond.

Now, as she celebrates the release of her new book "Unstoppable Success," Jess discusses the power of self-belief and saying 'yes' to opportunities before you’re ready, and why mindset is your greatest ally in the pursuit of success.
In this conversation, Jess and I discussed:

  • Jess' business journey owning five businesses over eight years - from starting a swimwear brand, to impacting other entrepreneurs through coaching and mentoring.
  • How Jess was inspired to write her book "Unstoppable Success" and the process to publication and launch.
  • Her journey from public speaking fears to delivering a successful TEDx talk. Despite the skepticism from a professional speaker in the leadup, Jess delivered her TEDx talk on "Being Obnoxiously Successful" and shared the significance of understanding and embracing one's own success story without apology.
  • The transformational role of mindset in personal and professional achievement, and what we can do to work on our mindset. Plus Jess shares her advice on embracing opportunities fearlessly and the value of perseverance and resilience in business.
  • Her personal approach to maintaining balance and joy, her favourite uplifting song, and an upcoming retreat in Greece.

The Light Seekers' Lounge - A Life of Resilience and Impact, with Estee Lee
play

02/26/24 • 52 min

Send us a text

For Estee Lee, not being resilient has never been an option. Since her family was in a devastating motor vehicle accident when she was five, Tae has had to overcome life changing setbacks and obstacles which have become pieces of the puzzle and made her life what it is today.
Her passion is working with people and helping them to realise that they have the choice to steer their life in the directions that they want. Tae lets you see life through her eyes by telling her stories with humour and conviction, and when facing a challenge you just gotta ‘own it’, ‘roll with it’ and eventually you will roll right out of it.
In this conversation, Tae and I discussed:

  • The personal story behind Tae's sister Nelle writing the incredible production of "Tae Tae in the Land of Yaaas"
  • Tae's recount of the car accident that took her Dad’s life and left her in a wheelchair, and her mother's incredible resilience at this devastating time in their life.
  • Estee's career in inclusive education and her contribution to reasonable adjustments for disabilities, and building her own business as a coach and keynote speaker to help build resilience in others, encouraging them to command their mindset and life narratives.
  • Chronicles of Estee's life-changing recent European adventure, revealing the nuances of traveling with a disability and the importance of building connections.
  • The significance of the quote tattooed on Estee's arm and how it mirrors her approach to life's hurdles.

Jenny Richardson didn't expect to be diving back into the dating scene in her 40s. Or ever, really.

Jen met her husband Will back in university at 20, and they built a pretty great life with two awesome kids and a couple of cats. Until Will passed away unexpectedly at 46, and the future they'd planned vanished in an instant.

Jen spent a few years healing, raising her girls, and retraining in a new career. Then, at around the 4-year mark, she started wondering what "moving forward" looked like and nervously anticipated the perils of online dating.
With the support of a mentor, devouring books, adapting her coaching skills, and creating systems, Jen tested her dating theories in the real world, figuring out how to find the relationship she craved. Jen now supports her clients to dive into dating with curiosity, confidence, and clarity.

In this conversation, Jen and I discussed:

  • How Jenny met her husband, Will, and how life shifted after Will died unexpectedly. Plus the dark humour we rely on during grief.
  • When Jen decided she was ready to try dating (although she wasn't "over" her grief), navigating the online dating scene, especially as a solo Mum with two daughters, and what she has learned about herself through dating and starting new relationships
  • Jen's business journey, from retraining in a whole new career, to the pivot from children's emotion coach to dating coach.
  • The wisdom and tips Jen has for those who are considering leaping into the current dating landscape, including the importance of taking action and learning as you go.

You can find find Jen in the following places:

Trigger warning: this conversations mentions mental health and post natal anxiety and depression.Alexandra Wiatr is a mama of two, wife, visionary entrepreneur and sensual embodiment mentor to mothers and women who unapologetically want it all. I invited Alex on the podcast because I love that the work she does is helping to shift the narrative around motherhood and encouraging us to believe in the "exponentiality" and possibility of motherhood.Together with her husband Aidan, Alex escaped the corporate 9-5 and built a rapidly growing, soulful product business on Amazon USA in under two years with her first daughter on her hip. Now, she's on a mission to guide women everywhere to tap into their sensuality and alchemise the abundant lives of their dreams. In this episode, we talk about:
  • Finding true love and moving to Australia
  • Being in a dark place in 2019 when her first daughter was a few months old and the support and resources Alex leaned on to find the light again
  • Creating a soulful Amazon business with her husband and the exponential growth of the business in 2021
  • Changing the narrative that motherhood needs to be about depletion and martyrdom
  • Allowing ourselves to be 'in the depths' and letting go of resistance, in order to find our exponentiality, whatever that looks like for each person
