Dukes Review:
Bo and Luke are deputized to pay off a traffic citation while driving the General Lee naked and crashing into Rosco’s patrol car. As part of their new Deputy duties that are required to escort Public Enemy #1 from Springfield to Hazzard. This leads to them (kind of?) sexually harassing Dolly Parton’s sister. Following that, Dolly’s sister goes rogue and tries to kill Public Enemy #1. But then, it all works out and only the bad guy goes to prison, Dolly goes back to Springfield, and Waylon gets back to inappropriate comments about women (which is apparently OK in Season 1).

Dukes Review: I like classic Dukes scripts and inside references.....and this episode has both. A classic amnesia plot device along with framing the Dukes for (insert reason here) makes this a classic tale of southern fried 1984 goodness. But in Season 7, with all of the super terrible episodes we have to deal with, this one may as well be eligible for an Emmy.
Here's the summary: A smack talking robot that looks like a dude in a cardboard robot costume your 4 year old would make comes to Hazzard, has a southern slang name, and becomes the new Sheriff of Hazzard.
You know that story you’ve heard that During World War I, on Christmas Eve, British and German troops stopped the fighting amongst to horror of war to celebrate Christmas together, that’s what this episode is like in Season 7. Amidst the horror, we have this nice episode. The episode you knew they had in them. Sure, there are some miniatures stunts, but just a few, and there are a couple of kind good real ones, and all the great stunts are recycled from previous seasons. Yes - I know that in Season 5 they offset the suck of Coy and Vance with AMAZING stunts, but this episode.....gives me hope.
The light at the end of the tunnel might not be an oncoming train. 7 Corndogs

Dukes Review: This show has a perfect plot. It starts out with an awesome General Lee jump, and ends with the most epic one ever...with the General going through the ROOF of a second story barn, trapping the bad guys, hurting nary a soul, and bringing the Dukes Boys back to safety. Everything that happens in between is mostly filler. So, here's the filler: Luke gets blackmailed into boxing a legit fighter in order to pay off a debt to Boss that (if unpaid) will cost the Dukes the farm. Again. Luke doesn't want to do it, because his was so awesome at boxing in the Marines that he nearly killed someone with his awesomeness. Uncle Jesse tells him to get himself together and either to quit or fight. Luke wins, his alter ego somehow ends up dates the ring girl of the fight, humanity is saved, and the General jumps. Hijinks ensue.

And, they'll be releasing new Valentine's Day prints between now and the heartfelt holiday every Tuesday too. Finnegan's Return! Guess who's back to stay? Well.....nobody, but I did ask Mike back on to visit for Show #100 - and he regaled in the full story of his win against Hoonigan's own Jon Chase at the NHRA Winter Nationals. And then I made he and Corndog play a somewhat inappropriate game of who has made out at the Top 10 Most Common make-out-session locations. It'll make more sense when you hear it. It's Valentine's week, right?
Feature Interview: Byron Cherry - Coy Duke! We had the great opportunity to interview Byron Cherry, the actor who portrayed Coy Duke for 19 episodes of The Dukes of Hazzard in Season 5 of the series! Many of us as fans of the show have heard the tales regarding the departure and return of John Schneider and Tom Wopat to the show, but the story for Byron Cherry (and his co-star Chris Mayer) is one that the full truth may not have been shared. Listen in to hear his story of getting the opportunity as a young actor to play a leading-man role on the biggest TV series in the world!

K&F Show Summary: For your listening pleasure (and for absolutely no other reason) in liuue of a move of TV vehicle review we present to you something a little different. This is our full breakdown of every classic Dominic Toretto driven '68-'70 Charger from the Fast and Furious movie franchise, from the beginning in 2001 to current day (April 2024 as of this recording).
As you know, the series that started in 2001 with a bunch of VCR thief stealing family members has become a 20+ year action franchise. Dominic Toretto (as portrayed by Vin Diesel) has been the lead character nearly everyone one of them, and Dom has a thing for MOPARS. Beyond that though, he has a SERIOUS thing for '68-'70 Chargers (with the '70 being the primary).
We don't claim to be as solid with the F&F franchise as we are the Dukes of Hazzard, but we did our best. At worst we spend an absolutely ridiculous amount of time discussing ridiculous franchise doing ridiculous things with flying Dodge Charger. Basically, it was perfect for us.
Enjoy!

K&F Show Summary:
Note: In honor of Valentine's Day 2024 we gave Bernie the keys to the show and told him to make a re-run episode! Listen in for a rundown of whatever Valentine's Day stuff that Bern came up with....which is probably super duper weird, but kind of adorable too. Following that is a re-broadcast of our review of "Cleetus Falls in Love" from KF Episode 252. Godspeed. -Kibbe and Corndog
Poor Cleetus makes the mistake of being #MeToo’d by Daisy Dukes, and his heart has to pay the price until she finally confesses to using her sexuality for personal gain. Poor Cleetus. But, love know no boundaries - and just like Cleetus we all have to take the high road and go on to date a bank teller anyway. This episode features Sheriff Little and is the second episode after the shift to the wide push bar General Lee. Also noted in this episode, no-one suffered from food poisoning and was stricken with vomiting and diarrhea for 4 hours straight.

Dukes Review: In possibly the most cost cutting episode of the Dukes of Hazzard ever seen, Luke gets ahold of some genetically altered drugs from big pharma that split his psyche into two and turn him evil and mean. How evil and mean, you ask? So evil and mean that he knocks over mailboxes, robs banks while wielding a gun, and does the worst thing ever - wears tennis shoes! But that’s not the worst of it. This may be the worst Season 7 episode gaffe so far as a miniature police car jumps - and lands - on a miniature flatbed semi trailer - loaded with miniature rubber tires - and bounces then directly upward - and forward - to land in front of and cut off the miniature General Lee. I could puke, but not a miniature one. -4 Corndogs

K&F Show Movie Review: Happy NASCAR season! The Daytona 500 is this weekend, so that means it's time to rebroadcast of our review of Days of Thunder from KF Show 137. When you've reached perfect once, you gotta own it!
The team that brought you Top Gun, brings you Top Car – better known as Days of Thunder. Both movies feature a wildly talented but undisciplined rebel who is as awesome with driving machinery as he is with the ladies. Both feature a helmet-less motorcycle riding Tom Cruise as the lead who goes through massive success riding his own ego....until his butt can’t cash them when he gets hurt – in one case just mentally, and in the other physically. Both leave him scared to re-engage at the thing he does best...until he basically resolves it in about 20 seconds by realizing....he’d damn well better or his friends were going to die in one case, and in the other they’d just be super bummed they lost the race...and move on with life. Whatever.
Both feature a wise father figure Tom Cruise at first rejects the authority of, then later craves the leadership and approval from. Both have Val Kilmer as Iceman playing the uber talented and more successful nemesis turned friend....except in Days of Thunder it’s Michael Rooker playing Rowdy Burns, both have an amazing failure on the first try to woo the leading lady, and both have a dead goose scene...except in days of thunder it was just a bird run over by a rental car. This is the most perfect racing movie of all however, and even today still is adored by fans – and NASCAR drivers – including the current reigning NASCAR Cup Series Champion who goes by the name of Rowdy Busch...and runs number 51 on his own race cars outside of the Cup Series. This is the movie that proves to get the girls, you gotta go fast, and if you’re from California you’re not really a yankee...you’re not really from anywhere.

Forever Young
K&F Movie Summary from Episode 145: This is a full review of the 1992 Mel Gibson movie, Forever Young. This is the one where Mel is a test pilot in 1939, gets cryogenically frozen for a year to avoid the pain watching his girlfriend die in a hospital slowly, and then waked up over 50 years later to find out he was abandoned by everyone he knew and loved. Only he wasn't.....and if you love history, romance, flying, and Chargers you'll absolutely love this movie. The audio alone is with your time. Yes....we believe the last "Sound Stage" General Lee is the car in this movie, and yes, that's the primary reason we reviewed it. However, this movie gets a Perfect 10 from ALL OF US for just being a great, fun, enjoyable story to watch and enjoy!
OK....with that said, the deep dive on the Chargers in this film is somewhat exhaustive and definitely sickening. We can absolutely say FOR SURE that there were two Generals used in the movie, as documented in the episode. Remember, Warner Brothers kept the "Sound-Stage" car as well as one Hero car. The Sound Stage car was a '68 Charger faked to look like a '69 (grille and taillight changes), and the Hero car was a '69. We feel pretty certain that the '68 was used for the bulk of the movie....except for two interior scenes.
Remember these words: DOME LIGHT.

Presented with Holley! BIG NEWS: tThe fall events at Holley are just around the corner and Holley MOPARTY is less than 60 days away. We'll be there and you should be too! We are ONCE AGAIN the media partner for the General Lee jump, too!
BIGGER NEWS: the all new 5-wire hookup Sniper 2.0 EFI is here and yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus! The list of upgraded features is extensive, but long story short this is about to make something that was revolutionary even easier. Like the original Sniper it's designed to work with a myriad of ignition and transmission options from basic points to fill timing control with transmission kickdown provision. It even has an integration for a PDM (Power Data Module), a feature that'll make your life a magical wonderland when you have multiple components that all need a clean 12V power source and access to switched power.
Just visit Holley.com to peruse and view for yourself and be SURE to tell them that we sent you!
K&F Show Summary: This one is a WINNER! You can summarize this episode with this: “Come on General, Get it Up!” The Dukes, Rosco, Daisy, Uncle Jesse, a substitute Cooter, a grandmother, and a random Playboy Playmate of the month all work together to keep Boss Hogg from being murdered. The bad guys get some engraving plates - made by starving artist Granny Annie - so that they can counterfeit $5 bills. Granny accidentally pays Bo and Luke with phony money, they get busted for it, Boss Hogg gets the plates from Granny, Bo and Luke steal them back, they save his life, the end.
Also in this episode....some wicked door impacts on the General Lee and the record setting 230-foot long Oxnard train jump by Al Wyatt. If that’s not enough, the episode begins - yes - BEGINS with the Oak Ridge Boys doing some lip syncing like lips have never been synced before. And then James Best puts on an acting clinic that leaves the show telling the moral if always helping a friend in need, not matter what they’ve done to you. Put it all together and you have a tidy little episode.
10 Dogs.
