Last week on Epsiode 56, I started to explore how to grow in resilience and today I’m continuing last week’s conversation with 8 juicy examples of how you can grow your own emotional fortitude reserves.
What I love about these suggestions the most? Aside from helping you to grow in resilience, they are essentially practices that are well worth your time, any way. It’s amazing to me how having high serving practices in place enrich your life and mutually support each other.

Spirituality is one of those topics that causes your emotions to stir. I’ve met people who embrace this type of discussion and I’ve also met people who get visibly uncomfortable and even upset with the mere mention of spirituality and or being spiritual.
Recently, I’ve become more open about embracing my spiritual journey. While I feel that it has helped me to expand my views and perspective and I feel more connected to spirit, I’ve also taken some of the heat that comes along with being open about this.
While I fully respect everyone’s right to believe what they believe, I know that for me having a holistic approach to my spiritual needs has helped me to feel more connected and more wholehearted. I know that I am part of something greater, something bigger than myself. Embracing spiritual wellness has shaped the way I view human existence, the way I view my purpose and my personal values.

She has been teaching for over 10 years in the US and internationally. She is passionate about guiding others in recognizing their true nature and potential so they may live their best lives. She teaches spiritual practices and guides her clients through intuitive reading and healing sessions. She also loves being a student of yoga. An interesting fact about her is that her oldest son was born in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Kim Feeney is the host of Butterfly Beginnings Counseling YouTube channel where she educates parents and other play therapists on how to understand the motivation behind a child's behavior.
Today on the show, Kim and I chat about:
- what emotional regulation is and what the benefits are to helping children to emotionally regulate,
- why play therapy is a great way to engage kids to behave and model a healthy expression of feelings,
- the varying states of arousal- how to identify them and how to help our kids move through varying levels of arousal to achieve a calm and collected state and

Honoring your personal journey- what does that mean exactly?
This episode was inspired by my recently adopted journaling practice. I started to reflect on how I got to being "me" at this moment in time.
What a great trip down memory lane that was! Beyond the past events and past experiences that framed my journal entry, I started to reflect on key things to nurture your appreciation of add to your individual journey.
Some things that came to mind:
- Acceptance
- Non-judgment
- Being Present Day Focused
- Respecting the time of your calling to self-reflect
- Using your feelings as a guide and
- Embracing fear.
This episode also explores the belief that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. I share with you my thoughts on what it means to be a human and how your human "beingness" helps your soul to stretch and grow.
