The Jim Fortin Podcast - Ep 308: What Do You Want In Your Life?

Start Your Transformation Now

In this episode, I explore the essential question that often stumps many of us... “What do I want in my life?”

It's a question that seems simple yet is profoundly complex. Many of us can quickly articulate what we don't want, but when it comes to pinpointing exactly what we do want, the answer becomes elusive. This question isn't just about identifying material desires or goals; it's about understanding the deeper longing for experiences and the quality of life we yearn for.

Throughout our conversation, I delve into the distinction between what we want in our lives versus what we want for our lives—two perspectives that might seem similar but lead to significantly different paths of introspection and outcomes. I share insights and personal anecdotes to illuminate why this differentiation matters and how it can lead to a more fulfilling life.

The discussion also touches upon the hurdles that prevent us from recognizing and pursuing our desires. From societal conditioning that teaches us to limit our asks to the ingrained habits that keep us tethered to the familiar yet unfulfilling aspects of our lives, I examine the psychological and emotional barriers that hinder us.

Listen, apply, enjoy.

Transformational Takeaway: Harness your divine energy to manifest a life rich in peace, joy, and love by deeply reflecting on the experiences you value, aligning your environment, behaviors, skills, beliefs, and identity accordingly.

Start Your Transformation Now

In this episode, we dive into a compelling exploration of how we often attempt to manifest our desires and goals in reverse, leading to frustration and lack of progress. I share insights into the common struggles many face when trying to manifest prosperity, emphasizing that the issue often lies not in the lack of effort but in the approach. We explore how societal narratives, family legacies, and personal belief systems can create a cycle of scarcity and hinder our manifesting potential.

The key to unlocking our manifesting abilities lies in shifting our focus from external actions to internal states. This episode challenges you to examine your underlying beliefs about abundance and reassess where your focus lies. Are you caught up in the hustle of doing, or are you cultivating a state of being that aligns with the abundance you seek? By delving into our own consciousness and aligning our thoughts with our desired outcomes, we can begin to manifest from a place of power and possibility.

The conversation shifts to understanding that manifestation is less about doing and more about being. By changing our mindset from one of lack to one of possibility, we unlock our true potential to attract abundance. This shift involves recognizing that our thoughts about money, success, and what we believe we can achieve are foundational to manifesting the life we desire.

Listen, apply, enjoy.

Transformational Takeaway: Trust the universe, manifest abundance effortlessly through positive intentions and gratitude, and believe in your creative power for the prosperity you deserve.

In my final interview with Gary Zukav, we engage in a thoughtful dialogue about navigating life's challenges and understanding the deeper aspects of our existence. We discuss our experiences and reflections on health, particularly dealing with the lingering effects of illnesses like COVID and the importance of listening to our bodies.

Gary shares insights into how age impacts his physical capabilities but underscores that what truly matters is our intention and the impact we wish to make. This conversation also touches on the unique recognition Gary receives due to his long-standing presence in public life, such as being identified by his voice from his appearances on Oprah, illustrating the lasting impact of our contributions to society.

We also explore the concept of being versus doing, emphasizing the need to focus on who we are in the moment and the intentions behind our actions rather than just the outcomes. Gary and I discuss the importance of authenticity and connection, reminding us that our true power lies in our presence and intentionality in every interaction.

Listen and enjoy!

Transformational Takeaway: To live more fulfilling lives and have a deeper impact on those around us, we must actively understand and embrace our roles as human ‘beings.’ This entails reflecting on our personal journey and finding tangible ways to embody the essence of being to enrich our interactions and contributions to the world.

In this episode, I revisit the profound conversations I've had with Gary Zukav, unpacking the significant themes that emerged about health, sharing, and the intricate dance of reciprocity. Through these discussions, we gain invaluable insights into how our interactions and personal contributions can profoundly impact our journey and those around us.

Gary and I touched on how true generosity goes beyond surface-level actions—it's about the intentions behind what we give and receive. I share personal anecdotes and observations about the subtle interplay between selfishness and selflessness, illustrated through my experiences and those of people close to me. These stories underscore the complexities of human behavior and the often unnoticed selfish tendencies that can coexist with a seemingly open heart.

We also explored the evolution from 3D to 5D consciousness, delving into how this shift isn't just personal but a collective movement towards higher ways of being. We dig into the challenges and rewards of shedding lower vibrational emotions and behaviors to align more closely with this transformative path.

Moreover, I delve into the broader implications of these personal and collective shifts, reflecting on global socio-economic changes and how they are mirrored in our personal growth journeys. The episode is a contemplation on the necessity of evolving beyond outdated structures and mindsets to truly embrace the new paradigms emerging around us.

Listen and enjoy!

Transformational Takeaway: Understanding the essence of ‘being’ is key to a fulfilling life and impactful interactions. Challenge yourself to make specific changes that elevate your state of being. Actively reflect on your journey and embody this essence to enhance your contributions to society. By doing so, you will deepen your relationships and your impact on the world.

Start Your Transformation Now

How many times have you started something: working out, a new work regimen or wanting to do something new and you found yourself falling off track in just a few short weeks?

It’s not your fault.

You can thank the reptilian part of your brain for pulling you off track. However, that part of your brain is pulling you off track to keep you on track with your old habits, whether they serve you or not.

Most people think they need the motivation to get things done, but that’s not necessarily true. Wanting motivation is wanting to do what you’re not already subconsciously and “brain” programmed to do.

In this episode I talk about:

[2:14] What has to precede motivation if you want to stay on track

[3:13] How you’re probably starting in the wrong place “psychologically” with motivation

[3:34] What sustains motivation

[6:08] Why commitment most often needs to precede motivation

[6:40] How self-integrity comes can keep you on track

[22:11] Why motivation is driven by unconscious habits

And much more...

Stop working from motivation and start working from commitments and unconscious brain-based habits and see how quickly your life transforms!

Transformational Takeaway

Motivation is sustained from your commitments, and your commitments are driven by your brain based habits.
