Reach out to him at [email protected] for more details. Derek’s Ask Derek asks that you follow the below hashtags on LinkedIn. #recruitertribe #jobseekeradvocate #hiringmanagertrustagent #roninlist Derek’s Advice There's a lot of brokenness in the world today. We were talking about recruiting, hiring managers and the job seeker environment. It isn't just impacting those industries. It's everywhere, it's logistics, it's in the military. I would hope that people would understand that there's always a lot more going on than we're aware of in people's lives. That what we assume is the presenting information of why somebody's doing something the way they are. You really don't know. Maybe I'm hypersensitive to that, Jason, because people have always questioned my motives. Because I'm a bald guy with a foot shaped mouth and tend to be out in the front and all that type of stuff. They can't wait to prove me wrong. Yesterday, I met with a candidate who has a disability and he was probably the most empathic EQ superhero guy I've ever met in a long time. He blew me away. If I would share one thing it is you don't have all the data. Always listen, ask good questions, and be a little bit more aware and I imagine some things would change in a lot of our lives. That's my message, Jason.
