Tony Babcock is an Award Winning Actor, Director, Producer and Acting Coach with over 20 years of industry experience.
In the past five years he has taught over 500 actors and industry professionals how to be more present and focused in their work utilizing the tools of improvisation. This has led to bookings on TV shows for major networks, as well as feature films, stage plays, agents and more!
Tony has also worked as a facilitator for The Oxford Learning Academy, Queen’s University, Milton Youth Theatre Company, Great Big Theatre Co., and many others. With his improv troupe, “The Canadian Improv Showcase,” Tony has performed shows at such venues as the ImprovOlympic in LA, The Rose Theatre, Sterling Festival Theatre, Algonquin Theatre, Ontario Power Generation, The Kingston Pen, Rogers TV and over 100 workshops in countless TDSB schools!
As an actor, Tony continues to work consistently in film, TV, theatre and improv. Last Summer Tony shot the Bell Media’s Fibe TV 1 series Extreme Actor which is now seeing worldwide success on Fearless Web Network. He played the lead role in the comedy series American Pussy, as well as voicing 30 episodes on the kids’ cartoon, “Beyblade: Shogun Steel” (with Emmy Award Winning Director Debra Toffan). He has been a host for Much Music, Teletoon and red carpet interviews for ACTRA. His short film “Treatment” won Best International Short at theWilliamsburg International Film Festival in New York City, and he is a series lead on IRL: The Series which will be airing on Bell Media’s Fibe TV 1.
Tony’s ongoing industry experience mixed with his selfless, upbeat, and positive approach, creates a supportive learning environment that is current, resilient, and leads to solid work and booking jobs in the industry TODAY!
