Fear is the number 1 thing holding you back from your purpose, potential, and freedom. For many people, they've had fear instilled into them at a young age and they've become so accustomed to it that they don't even recognize it as fear anymore. If you're going to live up to your full God given potential, you have to overcome fear and get it out of your life.
In episode 8, we gave 4 steps to getting rid of fear, but we feel so strongly about the prevalence of fear and its ability to rob you that we wanted to dive deeper. This 3 part series will walk you through the 4 steps in detail so you can overcome fear and be unleashed to live with a freedom like you've never known.
Step 1 is to know your fear. Please don't think it is as simple as it sounds because fear is deceptive. In this episode, we break down the difference between caution and fear and give you the characteristics of fear so you can recognize it. We also give common examples of fears and show you common scenarios in life where people are being dictated to by fear. We also tap into the science of fear and the detrimental effects it has on you. Anxiety is something everyone deals with in life. A recent UCLA study of over 1.2 million people found that the average person experiences 3.4 bad mental health days a month. That's over 10% of your month.
In this episode, we dive deep into how to overcome anxiety both in the moment and long term. We give you practical tools to get out of an anxious state when you're "deep in the hole" as well as how to retrain your brain long term. We also go into what a state is, how to change them, and the power they have to effect what you see in the world.
Nick, in particular, spent a lot of time in anxiety and was depressed for 6 years and these are all tried and true techniques. They have not only a lot of personal experience, but are backed up by cognitive behavioral psychology as well as neuro linguistic programming (NLP) psychology.
This is an episode to save and listen to when you need it if you deal with anxiety. It is something for everyone to understand around state changes because the ability to change your own state is when you really begin to unlock your personal power. So many people change their states with external things and never learn the power they have to change their own state and really lead themselves well.

His teaching incorporates the best of Bible and biology - illustrating how science confirms and validates scripture.
