#012 - With Leon Cossar
The Hustle & Flow Podcast
06/21/20 • 83 min
This episode, Shaun and I chat with Leon Cossar.
A mythologist, storyteller, and poet, Leon is also a mentor and wilderness guide, who is a great advocate for wilderness and soul. He works as a guide through rites of passage programs and educating through outdoor immersion.
We speak to Leon about ‘initiation’ - something that we all experience as human beings, but may not be aware that we do, or are not well-equipped enough to traverse such unknown and tumultuous terrains.
Leon also enlightens us on the power of story and poetry, the imagery and symbolism it holds, and how this way of timeless communication transcends that of word and language.
To connect with Leon and the work he does, see links below:
The book Leon mentioned: ‘Courting the Wild Twin’ by Dr. Martin Shaw.

The Hustle & Flow Podcast
07/24/21 • 76 min
In this episode, Shaun and I are joined by James Jirat Patradoon.
James is a digital artist whose work is informed by a wealth of cultural references. From 80’s aesthetics and 90’s fashion, to comic books and tattoo design, he renders his ideas in flashes of neon and monochrome.
Creating captivating gifs, murals and digital artwork, his arcane obsession with the occult seeps through every pore of his pieces, fusing Japanese anime with pop-horror and searing, luminous colours. His work is clean and graphic in production, exploring humanity’s depths and fractures and creating his own hyperreal infernal paradise.
He has worked with high profile international clientele, including collaborations with Coca Cola, Facebook, HBO, Microsoft, just to name a few.
