On today's episode we sit down with Glenn Witchey who is a local trapper here in Northeast Ohio as well as the owner of Wolf Creek Products. Glenn is one of those guys who has been trapping for his entire life, and his knowledge on the subject shows. Although in todays episode we did not talk about one particular species, we did however talk a lot about the culture of trapping, etc. as a setup for more species specific topics on future episodes with Glenn!

On today's episode I am joined by Fred Calvert of Long Shot Kennels and Retrievers. Fred is a life long hunter and hunting dog enthusiast who has been working with all sporting breeds since his first beagle as a young boy. I have had the fortune to visit him at his property and was able to get some scent work in with my German Shorthaired Pointers before the upcoming season. So, we sat down and talked all about hunting dog training!

On today's episode we have Matt Ross, the Director of Conservation for the National Deer Association (NDA). Matt is New York native who professional certifications as a certified wildlife biologist and licensed forester. He received his bachelor's in wildlife conservation from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and his master's in wildlife management from the University of New Hampshire.

In this episode Matt and I had planned on talking about forestry and beginning timber management strategies for white-tail enthusiasts, however the conversation took a turn and we discussed a wide variety of hunting related topics. Matt is always someone I enjoy getting to talk with, and we look forward to having him back on the show very soon.
