Ohio’s four day muzzleloader season is a great opportunity for us to get a group of close friends together and hunt public land as a team. The advantage of hunting as a group is everyones combined experiences in a specific spot allows you to learn way more about an area than you could hunting alone. With more eyes on the area it is easier to understand how deer are spending their time in different habitat and terrain. In this episode, some of the group discusses the things that we learned this season and some of the things that we can improve on next year. Warren Womack has been hunting large tracts of public land in the South for the majority of his hunting career. In these large, unbroken, tracts of timber he has spent many hours scouting throughout the hunting season looking for the hot sign he wants to setup on. Unlike the broken habitat of the Midwest, the south has much more potentail for bedding cover. Instead of hunting bedding areas, Warren's main focus is hunting "feed trees." In this episode, Warren talks about how to find these feed trees and how scouting in season has led him to a lot of success hunting public land in the south.
