Mark is listed at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and Tampa General Hospital. People can apply to either program or both. Suppose an individual is not a direct match for him. In that case, both hospitals have a paired living kidney donor program that matches up several people, so multiple people receive life-saving kidney transplants.
Mayo Clinic Jacksonville:
Once the initial screening for health information is complete, they will send a blood kit that can be taken to the lab. A living donor coordinator would reach out to interested candidates.
To apply to Tampa General Hospital's program, please go to tampagenerallivingdonation.org
All hospital expenses are covered by Mark's insurance, and any associated travel and time off work will be taken care of. It will not cost the donor anything to go through this process.
