Understanding leg work for building a home. Pre-Planning for a home build is a lot of work. Our checklist has 35 items. And this is why it’s so important to involve the builder in buying a lot to coordinate the planning. Utilities and different things needed, and costs associated with developing the lot. These are all costs that are incurred by the how owner that need to be discussed prior to the home being built that will most likely come out of pocket for the homeowner.

We move into bathroom remodeling from beginning to end discussing best practices, materials, and processes that we have developed over time. How do the new materials make it easier and less labor intensive and easier to install if you know what you’re doing. Listen to us compare the old versus new school way of doing a shower install. Saving time, money, and lasting longer with the newer products and built-in advanced features.

Our interior designers tell us how we should listen to the client and gather as much information as possible before starting to make suggestions. And why trying to help a client narrow down their selections is best for moving the project forward. There are so many options to choose from and it overwhelms a client who doesn’t know where to begin. Collaborating with a good contractor matters a lot from the interior designer perspective. When a time to start seems too good to be true it most likely is, especially when selections are involved and materials have to be ordered. Why should the interior designer be there for install day? Listen to Christies’ thoughts on that as well. Interior designers should be acting as a general contractor unless they have that license. They sometimes are forced to because they are putting together a vision for the project.
