We'll talk about sustainable weight loss and maintenance, low carb, foods, immunity, ageing well, menopause, mindset, psychology, stress, gratitude, happiness, power of positive thinking, laws of attraction, bio-hacks, sleep, fasting, intermittent fasting, fitness, exercise, reversing illnesses and many more topics! I am qualified, with distinctions, as a Holistic Nutritional Therapist, Weight Management Consultant, Professional Stress Management Consultant, and Holistic Fertility Expert. My expertise also include Low Carb way of eating, Sleep, Fasting & Intermittent Fasting, Happiness, Mindset, Psychology of Weight Loss, and Coaching. My qualifications also include First Class Honours Degree in Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Distinction in Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC), plus several academic awards. Part 1 of our discussions on sugar. In this episode, we explore the fact that sugar is 8 to 10 times more addictive than cocaine and releases the same pleasure hormone, dopamine, as cocaine. Cocaine addicted rats were given a choice of cocaine or sugar. 94% chose sugar.
As a sugar addict, I discuss why battling this addiction requires a lifetime commitment.
We explore the ways sugar and all bad carbs spike our insulin and the role of excessive glucose in weight gain and weight loss.
We shall explore together, in a Quiz you can participate in, the surprising amount of sugars in many of our common foods, some of which are deemed “healthy”.
We also talk about the dire consequences of a high sugar diet.
