Today our guest on the show is Cindy O'Connor, a film and musical theater composer, performer, and songwriter! She's a 2018 Emmy nominee for Outstanding Composition for the show "Once Upon a Time." She's composed multiple musical theater scores, receiving the Musical Theater Award in the Kennedy Center Festival for her musical "All That She Has." She's also provided vocals for a number of blockbuster hits including "Wreck-It Ralph" and "The Hangover."
On this episode, we talk about how vocalists prepare for singing in a motion picture, how to work with composers in musical theater, tools you should know when in the studio, and Cindy's writing process!
