Disney News Bites –

• Chef Mickey’s will switch BACK to buffet service once again beginning on March 1st, 2023!
• Characters are returning to Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom! Disney Princesses will return to this Magic Kingdom table service spot beginning on February 28th, 2023
• Roundup Rodeo BBQ, a new Table Service restaurant coming to Toy Story Land (also known as Andy’s backyard) in Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be officially open in the Spring of 2023!

The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will be here before you know it, and we are already looking forward to indulging in the beautiful and tasty eats at the food booths around the park. The 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts runs from January 13th through February 20th, 2023. There are a couple of new food booths this year, including a Figment-themed one! Disney revealed a few of the menu items that will be at each food booth, but please note that these are NOT the full menus for the Festival of the Arts food booths but for now we thought we would give a quick review to help get your planning started.

Today we have a returning special guest who is going to give us some guidance when it comes to dining at Universal Studios Orlando, theme park blogger, Jon Self. Jon has been a part-time writer in the fields of dining, theme parks, and faith-based issues for over ten years. He has written for theme park publications such as TouringPlans, The Unofficial Guides, MickeyVisit, DisneyDose, MouseDining, PiratesnAndPrincesses, and Attractions Magazine. He also has over 20 years of faith-based ministry experience as a pastor, theological instructor, and missionary. Jon currently works as a full-time freelance writer who focuses on theme parks in the Orlando area. He is also involved in helping develop two new concepts for theme park planning resources, one of which should be out soon.

Happy New Year Happy Platers!
We can’t believe that this is our first show of 2023 and once again like everyone else we are talking about “Resolutions”. Our first show of 2022, #128, the three of us listed out our Disney Dining Resolutions. This is where we choose resolutions for places we want to eat, snacks we want to try, or Disney food experiences in 2022. On today’s show we will revisit our 5 Dining Resolutions to see if we managed to complete some or all and if we just ended up like the majority of resolutions made and failed miserably.
What Disney Dining resolutions did you make or break this past year?
And as you know with the beginning of a New Year, changes happen. You turn a page to a new year with excitement for all the possibilities that 365 days can hold. Change sometimes is not pleasant, but change is constant. Only when we change and grow, we will see a world we never know.
While we will miss Ryan's contributions on a weekly basis, he will still be a valued Happy Plater an we hope to have him back on the show recapping his Disney trips for us! Remember you can still find Ryan and co-host, Shayne Seymour, on their weekly travel podcast, "All Things Travel", a great resource to make you a savvy traveler.
