88 - Social Programming: The Hangover of our upbringing
02/02/20 • 51 min
Today we get into a topic as pervasive as the very air we breathe - social programming.
We do the best we can with the resources we have available to us. What is easy to forget is that we’re all connected. You, your kids, your parents, grandparents and great grandparents. And we’re all working through and dealing with a hangover of their upbringing. Their programming becomes our programming.
How do you break the pattern? Sadly most of us think we have even though we’re still running the same program we wanted to avoid.
Vern and Devon take a deep dive into what’s actually controlling you, taking you out of your life, what systems may be at the deep root of our unhappiness, and what there is to do to create peace.

87 - Be Your Own Banker
Who controls the flow of money in your life?
What do you know about commercial banking vs private banking? Yes, that’s a thing.
When it comes to managing money, we are always taught to go to someone else. You want to invest, go see a stockbroker or mutual fund advisor, you need money? Go borrow from a Bank. One of my mentors, R. Nelson Nash says that if you don’t understand the problem, the solution just won’t matter. Most people, including financial advisors, do not understand the problem we’re facing today.
The problem is BANKING and the solution is also BANKING. More specifically, the solution is changing who controls the banking function in your life.
