Hosted from the vibrant city of Tacoma, Washington - also known as "Grit City," our show has been entertaining and informing listeners since 2014. And what a ride it's been! Every week, we release a new episode that introduces you to the dynamic and inspiring individuals who call the Pacific Northwest home. From local business owners and entrepreneurs to authors, artists, and unique characters, our guests embody the hard-working, blue-collar spirit that Grit City is known for. And let's not forget the occasional drug-fueled weirdo we may have met at a comedy club the night before! The Grit City Podcast first launched back in the summer of 2014 and quickly built a loyal fanbase of listeners who appreciated the show's unique perspective on the Seattle/Tacoma area. After a brief hiatus in 2017, the podcast was rebooted in 2018, with even more friends and family members involved. It quickly regained its "must listen to" status and went on to deliver an impressive 275 episodes and counting, delivering over 280 hours of audio content to our fans since. Derek also co-hosts the newish podcast, Rolling Misadventures, a podcaster collaboration creating short form audio drama with a real play style show playing Fiasco. On this episode they also play one of their Best-Of’s, a very peculiar conversation with Jeff Black, a local comedian.

1:41 – Justin provides tips to fellow podcasters, his process when editing podcasts, Scott and Derek talk on their editing and Derek tells the guys about what he’s been doing since the last time he was on including his new collaboration, Rolling Misadventures. He talks about some of the storylines behind misadventures and Justin recently joining the podcast as a delusional superhero. They discuss the comic and show The Tick, where people can find Rolling Misadventures, video games each of them have been playing lately, and what the best of is going to be. They’re located in Tacoma at 4704 S Oakes Street and are open Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm and Friday through Sunday from 8 am until they sell out!

They use the finest ingredients from right in their backyard and work hard to support Northwest products & producers all the way down to their tap handles from Portland, Oregon.
