Welcome to "The Gray Area," a podcast dedicated to the Gundam Universe, the hobby of Gundam Plastic Model Kits, and more. John & Niko, our hosts, met at an Anime Convention in the Northeast United States sharing a love for the GunPla Hobby. With John being newer to the hobby -- around a year and a half -- and Niko, who has been building for over 18 years, share their unique experiences between the times, sharing what they've learned and continue to learn. From types of kits, games, or whatever is on their minds, they hope that you as listeners would try the GunPla hobby and embrace creativity. For other veteran builders and anime/manga/ova fans, join us to learn more about processes, tools, and other techniques that make for an amazing experience.

At this point, you either have a kit or still wanting to learn more. Niko, with the other pilots, Bronson, Jake, and James, have built many model kits over the collective years they all have been building. In a set of 4 parts, with John joining us for the final mission, each of us share our favorite kits from each grade of GunPla. Parts 2 - 4 cover the remaining grades.

Welcome to "The Gray Area," a podcast dedicated to the Gundam Universe, the hobby of Gundam Plastic Model Kits, and more.

As we descend further in to our deep-dive, with the different universes comes many GunPla, and with that, many different types of tools.

At this point, you either have a kit or still wanting to learn more. John & Niko are the type of people who want o make sure we have all of the basic tools needed to make a good-looking model kit. Our hosts are going to walk you through identifying tools to get started in the hobby — Plastic Cutters / Nippers, Tweezers, Hobby Knife, and Sanding Sponges, bringing you two different perspectives in tool usage, where we came from, and how much easier it is to get into the hobby. Future episodes will go in more detail around the purpose of each tool and how we use them in an upcoming livestream. Stay tuned!
