The Gravel Cartel - getting people into flannel and onto gravel in SE QLD
03/16/23 • 62 min
This week on the Pod we chat with Kent and Michelle from the Gravel Cartel about their exciting work in building the gravel community and event scene in SE QLD.
A lot of you have reached out to me to share your gravel stories, and not surprisingly, a lot of you are really passionate about the places you ride. One of the things that keeps coming up is the QLD gravel scene.
I haven’t had the chance to check out the QLD gravel, so I thought I better reach out to some experts from the Gravel Cartel, who are doing some really exciting things in building the gravel community in and around the Sunshine Coast.

If you're in the Melbourne area and looking for a gravel ride to join, try out Northern Groadies - https://www.strava.com/clubs/954277/group_events/1334459
And finally - I love putting this Podcast together - Chatting with like minded people about gravel cycling is about as good as it gets!
And hopefully, this independent content brings you plenty of value too 😁
If it does, and you are in a position to do so, I'd really appreciate it if you could help us out by becoming a supporter of the show!
Turns out there is a lot of work, and a fairly significant financial cost, involved in creating, editing and publishing a Podcast - your support will help cover these costs and ensure we (I!) can keep bringing you high quality content. Thanks!!

On the Ground at the GOGG
On Sunday the 26th of Feb, I had the pleasure to head down to Forrest in Victoria's Otway Ranges to race the Great Otway Gravel Grind.
I had a great day out on the bike and met some fantastic people - I managed to capture some of those chats and cut them together to try and bring you a bit of the flavour of the big day.
Thanks to Rapid Ascent for putting on a great event, and to all those who gave up their time to chat with me! Enjoy!
