Dr Chris Davis is a full-time GP and Director of East Sydney Doctors in Darlinghurst. He developed a special interest in alcohol and other drugs 8 years ago whilst working in London. After emigrating to Australia in 2014 he established the Clean Slate Clinic, a comprehensive alcohol management clinic and telehealth project to help GPs offering home alcohol withdrawal and aftercare. He also works at William Booth House, a residential AOD rehabilitation centre and is a trainer and GP lead for the current RACGP AOD National GP training programme.

Professor Craig Hassed OAM is a GP and renowned leader in the field of mindfulness. He is the coordinator of the mindfulness program at Monash University and Director of Education at Monash Centre for Consciousness and Contemplative Studies. He has over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, has published 14 books including multiple textbooks and is regularly invited to speak and run courses throughout the world. In 2019 Craig was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to Medicine.

Associate Professor Kristin Neff is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on self-compassion, being the first one to operationally define and measure the construct almost twenty years ago. She received her doctorate from Berkeley, and is currently an Associate Professor in Psychology at the University of Texas. She has two books; Self-Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself (2011) and her new 2021 book Fierce Self-Compassion: How Women Can Harness Kindness to Speak Up, Claim Their Power and Thrive.

She is also co-founder of the non-profit Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. In conjunction with her colleague Dr. Chris Germer they have developed an empirically supported training program called Mindful Self-Compassion and Teaching the Mindful Self-Compassion Program: A Guide for Professionals. Dr Alana Gall is a proud Truwulway woman, a Pakana (Tasmanian Aboriginal) from the north-east coast of Lutruwita (Tasmania). Alana is passionate about Indigenous peoples' holistic health and wellbeing globally. She has a background with degrees in nutritional medicine, Master of Research and a PhD. Alana is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University, and an Honorary Research Fellow at both the University of Queensland and Menzies School of Health Research. She is the Co-Vice Chair of the World Federation of Public Health Associations Indigenous Working Group, and the Vice President-Elect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health at the Public Health Association of Australia. Alana pioneered the use of individual yarns with a think-aloud component, called the ‘think-aloud yarn’, and co-developed the Key Principles to Co-Design with First Nations peoples, which have informed the development of Cancer Australia's Australian Cancer Plan and will underpin its implementation. She leads a research program that centres around First Nations Australians traditional medicines and healing practices, with the aims of protecting and preserving these medicines for future generations and improving accessibility for all First Nations communities across Australia.

Professor Judy Lowthian leads a multidisciplinary research team as Head of Research and Principal Research Fellow at Bolton Clarke, a national not-for-profit aged and community care provider. She is an Adjunct Professor with University of Queensland’s Faculty of Health and Associate Professor with Monash University’s School of Public Health & Preventive Medicine. Her early professional career was as a speech pathologist in rehabilitation following acquired brain injury, and in management of interdisciplinary child and adolescent health services. Judy is internationally recognised in the field of gerontological health services research in emergency care, hospital-to-home care transitions, frailty, cognitive impairment and dementia, loneliness, palliative care, and implementation of new models of care with a focus on patient and family experience.

Dr. Angela Loucks Alexander, Audiologist, has spent 15 years specializing in diagnosing and treating Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), a hearing difficulty with less to do with the ears and more to do with the brain. Professor Michael Nilsson MD, PhD, is the Director of the Centre for Rehab Innovations (CRI) and Global Innovation Chair of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Newcastle. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Michael is the immediate-past Director of the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) and Burges Professor of Medical Science, Newcastle, Australia 2012-2018. Over the course of his career, Michael Nilsson has developed and implemented new models of care, and evaluated care trajectories in Rehab, for instance after stroke, traumatic brain injury and Parkinson.
