Chris Gooden - The Saint Amongst The Sinners
03/27/23 • 55 min
Chris Gooden is the owner of the infamous Seddon Deadly Sins cafe in Seddon, Victoria, but what most people don't know is the incredible story of the man who will travel to the other side of Australia, just to help people out.
He's supported Aussie athletes at international competition, volunteered at crisis accomodation, spearheaded massive social change, and was awarded the Citizen of The Year award.
You won't find a stronger advocate for the causes he believes in.
Chris's energy is contagious, and inspiring, and will make you feel a little bit better about the world, knowing there are warriors out there like him fighting the good fight for causes like gay rights, homelessness, and even the wellbeing of young families
This is a story that keeps unfolding all the way to the end.

John Ng - Migration Manhood and Money Morals
John Ng - is more than just a previous citizen of the year, or the many billboards you see him on.
He's a self made man, who migrated to Australia chasing love and dreams of a better life.
After finally getting citizenship and gaining full time employment, he became disenchanted with his job and all the moral issues that go hand in hand with working for a big 4 bank, John decided to create his own business so he could give people things they actually need.
He also created the Humans of SKY and The Inner West Facebook page, and proceeded to tell the stories of hundreds of locals, including migrants and underrepresented minorities.
We get to know the real John Ng in this episode, gaining an insight into the challenges that migrants face, coming to Australia.

Athena Thompson - The Problem Whisperer
Athena Thompson from Tech Lever is a one of a kind.
Although you'll mostly find her lurking around in background, you can bet your bottom dollar she's moving and shaking, and busy helping someone bring their project to life.
She loves nothing more than seeing others succeed, especially if she had a hand in it.
Athena has recently been recognised with a nomination for Citizen Of The Year, for all the effort she puts into community projects, and for her volunteer work.
She also has a nuclear medicine degree, which has taken her to amazing places and worked with amazing people.
In this episode we also announce a fantastic joint initiative created by In Other Good News and Tech Lever, called Ground Level - a support network club for people who own or operate a small business
We're really excited about it and can't wait to share it with you!
