My guest today is Dave Longo.
Dave is a freelance guitarist , producer, recording and mix engineer.
Having spent the last 26 in Sydney performing around town with various pop, funk bands, duo’s , jazz ensembles, and studio work, Dave has formed many longstanding musical relationships that kept him working all this time.
Carols in the Domain, Australian Idol, Voice Kids Australia, NSW Schools Spectacular, Weird Assembly, The Joe Macri band, Matt McMahon, Kate Miller Heidke and Bill Risby are just a handful of musical situations that Dave has left his mark on.
Back in 2003 Dave joined the great Doug Parkinsons band and had been a mainstay in its various lineups over the years since Dougs intimely passing in March this year. Doug and Dave were also working on a new DP album.
Loyalty, integrity and a staunch work ethic are the keys to Dave's longevity.
If you hadnt heard of the name, Dave Longo, well you have now.

My guest today is Pete Drummond.
Pete is a session drummer, composer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist from Australia.
As said in an article by Drumscence magazine:
“Pete Drummond is a world-class musician at the top of his game. His relentless pursuit of technical mastery and his deep-rooted musicality have made him one of Australia's top session drummers and soundtrack composers”
Pete is also and educator and drum teacher. He's developed a unique drum lesson that aims to revolutionise the way drumming in taught on digital platforms.
Pete has played with the best and has performed along side some of his hero's including Virgil Donati and Dave Weckl.
In 2006, Todd Hunter asked Pete to join his band Dragon and he's been playing drums, keyboards, singing and songwriting with Dragon ever since, including being inducted into the Aria Hall of Fame.
Pete also stays busy on his original projects "Light Beyond Sleep" and his 80s alter ego, “Eirie”.
We had a great time making this episode for you. Lots of laughs, lots of music and some great stories. Be sure to listen till the end.

114. Shauna Jensen
My Guest today is Shauna Jensen.
Shauna is a vocalist with an outstanding pedigree.
She has an illustrious career and has worked in, not only Australia’s live music scene but also the recording industry as well. Shauna started her career singing in 1970 with a band ‘Purple Vision’ who’s biggest highlight for Shauna was supporting Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs. In the early 70’s Shauna tried her hand at musical theater, being in the original cast of Jesus Christ Superstar. This led Shauna to studio work. In her role as a studio session singer her voice has been heard on many TV and radio commercials as well as soundtracks for films and TV series. From this began a successful career singing backing vocals and touring for a couple of decades with Australia’s leading Rock Industry professionals, including Jimmy Barnes, Noiseworks, Cold Chisel, Richard Clapton and Doug Parkinson. She even recorded an album (unreleased) of duets with Hugh Jackman and produced by the late legendary Phil Ramone. She has appeared on TV as a judge on Network 7’s Popstars Live, as a regular panelist on Foxtel’s Beauty and The Beast, Featured singer on Foxtel’s Studio A, as well as every incarnation of the Midday Show on Nine Network as a soloist. Shauna recently appeared as one of the 100 judges in Network 7’s All Together Now. In the last decade Shauna has had many sell out cabaret shows in Sydney and is in high demand. 2020 marked Shauna’s 50th year as a professional musician. An incredible singer. Shes a gem and she calls it how she sees it. Ladies and gentleman, please give it up for the fabulous Shauna Jensen.
