We do a meta-analysis of the Brian Houston/Hillsong worldview. We contrast Brian's books "You Need More Money," "How To Maximize Your Life," "You Can Change the Future," and "There is More—When the World Says You Can't," with the last 1,000 years of good Christian books . . . Martin Luther's “Bondage of the Will,” John Bunyan's “Pilgrim's Progress,” “The Imitation of Christ,” A. W. Tozer's “The Attributes of God” and “The Crucified Life,” “The Doctrine of Repentance,” “The Death of Death in the Death of Christ,” “An Alarm to the Unconverted,” and “The Mortification of Sin.” Is there an obvious departure from anything that renders a slight semblance of the Christian faith here? The emphasis shifts from God to "You," and the description of the Christian life shifts from suffering to success.
