Hi Listener,
We hope you and your family are safe during this difficult time. Our April episode ended up being rather lengthy, so we decide to turn it into two episodes. So this month you will get twice the Garden Hoes.
In this episode, we welcome a special guest, Dr. Nicole Fiorellino, to give us the "dirt" on the soil. We also discussed the "how to's" on planting trees, shrubs, and perennials (30:00).
- Here is a link to the Home and Garden Information Center webpage about soil testing.
- Want to watch Nicole's soil sampling video? You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cgJvCY9iXQ
Garden Tips of the Month: Spring bulbs and lawn care, and prepping summer vegetable transplants(~45:00)
**NOTE** Native Plant of the month and bug of the month will be in a second episode coming out later this month, along with some tips for gardening with children.
